About this role

We're looking for a hands-on Sales leader who leads from the front. Half your day is client facing, joining live deals with AEs and on the phone with BDRs. The other half is coaching, call review, and sharpening the process based on what you are hearing and seeing in the data while collaborating with RevOps, marketing, product, and customer success leaders.

This is not a role for someone who manages from a dashboard. You should still love the craft of selling, still be sharp on a cold call, and be the person AEs are eager to invite into their toughest conversations because you help them win. You'll bring a coaching-first, data-driven mindset and work closely with other departments to exceed revenue targets.

This role reports directly to the CRO and will directly manage both our Account Executives and our BDRs, partnering with GTM engineers and an AI-heavy tech stack to scale what works.

We have an in-office requirement of 3 days per week for local employees to help foster a strong culture of performance, accountability, and collaboration.

Company Description

OpenAsset is the leading Digital Asset Management solution built for the Architecture, Construction, and Engineering industries, with over 1,000 clients and 20 years of experience. Our mission is to inspire people through visualization of the built world, and we recently announced a new AI-Proposal product Shred.AI to continue this mission.

We're a diverse, collaborative, and fast-growing team of 100+ employees with offices in New York and London and a global client base. Backed by Marlin Equity Partners, we're passionate about creating an inclusive workplace where everyone feels valued and has a voice, and we actively hire from a diverse pool of candidates.

How You'll Spend Your Time

50% Client Facing

- 3 to 4 hours per day joining AEs on calls to help drive deals forward, from discovery through negotiation and close.

- Travel with AEs for in-person client meetings and events at least once a month.

- 1 hour per day cold calling to stay sharp, run as a team power hour with the BDRs. You set the standard on the phones and guide our outbound strategy by knowing firsthand what is actually working.

50% Coaching & Strategy

- Weekly 1:1s focused on pipeline, skill development, and growth

- Call reviews that turn observations into repeatable habits

- Team huddles that keep focus and energy high

- Continuous improvement of scripting, talk tracks, objection handling, and sales process

- Collaboration with RevOps on strategy, reporting, and data visibility

Responsibilities

- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Account Executives and BDRs

- Run daily cold call power hours with the BDR team and set the tone for outbound activity and quality

- Join AE calls daily as a second voice in the room, helping to qualify, build champions, handle objections, and close

- Drive predictable pipeline growth through effective outbound tactics while converting inbound opportunities from the marketing team

- Conduct regular deal reviews, pipeline reviews, and coaching sessions while ensuring our pipeline stages, close dates, and forecast categories are accurate

- Own and continuously improve our scripts, talk tracks, sequences, and sales process based on what you hear on live calls and see in data

- Partner with Marketing to optimize lead generation and conversion strategies

- Partner with RevOps to improve reporting, data visibility, and the metrics we manage the team against

- Collaborate with Customer Success to ensure smooth handoffs and strong client outcomes

- Track KPIs to ensure quota attainment across the team

- Hire, onboard, and ramp new AEs and BDRs as the team scales

- Become an expert at leveraging our tech stack and AI tooling, while collaborating with GTM Engineers to improve conversion rates and messaging

- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement

- Report on performance, insights, and strategy to the executive team

Skills & Experience

- 1+ years of sales management experience in B2B SaaS, ideally managing both AEs and BDRs

- 5+ years full-cycle sales closing mastery, with a strong track record of being a top 5% closer (president’s club, consistently exceeding quotas, etc)

- Still willing and able to be on calls every day. This is a core part of the job, not a nice to have

- Proven track record closing $50k-250k ACV deals and coaching others to do the same

- Experience overseeing outbound BDR teams and directly supporting pipeline creation

- Strong understanding of consultative and value-based sales methodologies, especially MEDDIC

- Experience selling a multi-product solution while scaling sales teams and processes in a growing organization

- Excellent communication and presentation skills, including executive-level selling

- Highly organized, data-driven, and comfortable in tools like Claude, Gong and Salesforce

- Based in the NYC area and willing to travel with the team roughly once a month

- AEC industry experience is a plus
