MRB Coordinator

The MRB Coordinator is responsible for managing the end-to-end Material Review Board (MRB) process for non-conforming materials, ensuring timely disposition, accurate inventory control, and effective execution of material transactions. This role serves as a key liaison between Quality, Supply Chain, Procurement, Supplier Quality Engineering (SQE), Manufacturing, and Warehouse teams to maintain material traceability, reduce inventory aging, and support ongoing operational excellence.

What You Will Do

- Coordinate the complete lifecycle of non-conforming materials from identification through final disposition.
- Monitor MRB inventory aging and proactively drive timely resolution of outstanding material dispositions.
- Collaborate with Quality, Supplier Quality Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing, and Warehouse teams to ensure efficient handling of non-conforming materials.
- Ensure rejected material is properly quarantined and inventory records accurately reflect physical inventory.
- Execute inventory transactions and maintain accurate material records within NetSuite and quality management systems.
- Perform periodic audits and inventory reconciliations of quarantined material.
- Execute approved MRB dispositions, including scrap, return-to-vendor, rework/repair, and use-as-is transactions.
- Coordinate return shipments, vendor credits, and scrap activities while ensuring complete documentation and traceability.
- Prepare and maintain reporting on MRB aging, inventory value, disposition turnaround times, and process performance.
- Identify process bottlenecks and support continuous improvement initiatives that improve material flow and reduce non-conforming inventory.

Position Details

- Full-time position based in Calgary, Alberta.
- Primarily onsite role supporting manufacturing operations.
- Occasional schedule flexibility and overtime may be required based on production and business needs.

Minimum Qualifications

- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Quality, Inventory Control, Supply Chain, Manufacturing Operations, or a related environment.
- Experience working with ERP systems and inventory transaction management.
- Experience with quality management systems and non-conformance processes.
- Experience coordinating activities across multiple departments and stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and drive tasks to completion.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Physical Requirements of Position

- Position requires frequent lifting, handling, standing, hearing, talking, and near-vision activities.
- Position requires occasional walking, sitting, carrying, pushing, pulling, reaching, crouching, stooping, and kneeling.
- Ability to work within a manufacturing and warehouse environment.
- Ability to safely move and manage materials within designated inventory and quarantine areas.
- Ability to exert up to 20 kg (44 lbs.) occasionally, up to 10 kg (22 lbs.) frequently, and up to 5 kg (11 lbs.) constantly.

This role operates in a manufacturing environment and may require occasional exposure to production floor conditions, noise, moving mechanical equipment, dust, and changing environmental conditions.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with Material Review Board (MRB) processes and management of non-conforming materials.
- Experience with NetSuite ERP.
- Experience with quality management systems such as SolveIT.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 or similar quality management systems.
- Previous experience in a lead, coordinator, or supervisory capacity.
- Experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, hands-on approach to driving results.
