About the Role
We are hiring a Grinding Department Technician for a hands-on manufacturing position. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently and takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality work.
You will be responsible for setting up and operating grinding equipment, monitoring the machining process, and ensuring finished parts meet quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate grinding equipment
- Prepare machines for production runs
- Load and unload materials and finished parts
- Adjust machine settings as needed to maintain accuracy
- Monitor grinding operations and production quality
- Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet specifications
- Use basic measuring tools to verify dimensions
- Identify and address equipment or production issues
- Follow work orders, specifications, and production instructions
- Maintain accurate production and quality records as required
- Perform basic machine care and housekeeping
- Keep the grinding area clean, organized, and safe
- Follow all safety procedures and company standards
Qualifications
- Previous grinding, machine operation, manufacturing, or production experience preferred
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to operate machinery safely and efficiently
- Strong attention to detail
- Good math and measurement skills
- Ability to read and follow written instructions
- Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
- Reliable and self-motivated
- Strong commitment to quality and accuracy
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment
