JOB SUMMARY: As a Team leader – Structural Analysis, you are responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing activities of simulation team while managing deliverable/outcome and supervising simulation teams. This role requires engineering expertise, leadership, personnel management, and business acumen to drive simulation activities and outcomes. It also involves applying mechanical engineering principles such as mechanics, thermodynamics, fluid and aerodynamics, materials science, and structural analysis to recommend design enhancement. The Simulation Team create simulation models for our Surface wellhead to predict loading, test scenarios and define ancillary requirements. We work closely with other engineering functions and are a fundamental defining the scope of projects. The Analyst will utilize software tools to imagine wellhead configurations and simulate real world operating conditions to test the proposed solution. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, ROLES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Essential duties and responsibilities include the following.
Job Requirements
- Planning, designing, and overseeing engineering activities of simulation team.
- Supervising engineering teams and supporting personnel management.
- Setting and achieving project goals and objectives. Ensuring simulation activities are meeting customer expectations, timelines and quality standards.
- Guiding the application of simulation results in system design, analysis, testing and field troubleshooting.
- Performing Structural Assessments: Conducting linear static, nonlinear (elastic-plastic), fatigue, dynamic, modal, and thermal-structural coupled analyses to evaluate product performance and structural integrity.
- Providing Engineering Recommendations: Interpreting simulation results and recommending design improvements to optimize performance, manufacturability, reliability, and cost.
- Supporting Product Development: Collaborating with Design, Manufacturing, Testing, and Project Engineering teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Driving Engineering Excellence: Developing and maintaining simulation methodologies, modeling standards, best practices, and analysis procedures.
- Review/Release analysis report from engineer.
- Provide technical guidance on simulation activity and mentor young engineers.
- Ensuring Engineering deliverables are completed within the agreed timeline.
Progress Monitoring & Control
- Track and report progress against baseline schedules, milestones, and key deliverables.
- Identify delays, risks, and variances; recommend recovery or mitigation actions.
Stakeholder Communication
- Provide accurate and timely updates to team leader/ manager.
- Communicate engineering teams on FEA progress and result to guide the product design activity.
- Collaborate with global cross-functional teams across engineering, procurement, vendors, and testing disciplines.
EDUCATION, TRAINING, EXPERIENCE:
- Have Bachelor degree with honors in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Have a minimum 10 years of experience in simulation using a commercial software (Ansys, Abaqus, ), experienced in the Oil&Gas Industry is a plus.
- Have a minium of 3 years of experience in managing engineering team.

ASME BPVC Section VIII

JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Good interpersonal and leadership skills
- Effective communicator.
- Demonstrate experience of working with cross-functional teams within a global-matrix environment across different time zones.
- Be a self-starter, proactively taking the initiative to identify and solve problems.
- Have excellent report writing and presentation skills and an ability to articulate technical information clearly.
