POSITION SUMMARY

The Global Sr. COE Manager, Operational Excellence provides critical support to the Global AWS Security Engagement, GCM Business Management, Regional and Local Customer and Internal Operations Team.

Security - Responsible for being the liaison/direct link between GCM and the DSV Global Security Task Force Team.

Safety - Responsible for being the liaison/direct link to the client in shaping the strategic direction of the Global Safety Program driving operational standards, adherence, reporting and harmonization through effective project management and continuous improvement support.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Security

- Serve as the primary Global Customer Management (GCM) security liaison, partnering closely with the established DSV Global Security Task Force (STF), regional security leaders, site operations, and customer stakeholders.

- Represent GCM in global security governance forums and communicate priorities, risks, decisions, and progress clearly to senior DSV and customer stakeholders.

- Collaborate with established Global DSV Security Task Force (STF) team and support to identify, design, and implement continuous improvement security initiatives.

- Develop and implement a globally standardized security framework across all regions, while addressing applicable local regulations, operational requirements, and site-specific risks.

- Establish consistent global security policies, procedures, minimum control standards, implementation playbooks, governance routines, and reporting requirements.

- Conduct regular site visits to assess physical security controls, operational practices, emerging risks, and compliance with DSV and customer requirements.

- Participate in internal, customer, and third-party security audits, including audit preparation, evidence coordination, on-site support, corrective-action planning, and closure verification.

- Lead security risk assessments and gap analyses across sites, documenting findings and prioritizing mitigation actions based on risk, operational impact, and compliance requirements.

- Maintain a global security compliance roadmap, risk register, audit calendar, and corrective-action tracker, providing clear visibility to GCM and senior leadership.

- Monitor security performance through standardized KPIs, audit results, incident trends, and control-effectiveness reviews. Escalate material risks promptly and recommend corrective actions.

- Partner with the STF team to identify, design, test, and implement continuous-improvement initiatives that strengthen security controls and reduce operational risk.

- Support new site implementations, expansions, customer requirements, and business changes by defining security requirements early and ensuring their integration into operational design.

- Evaluate and promote security technology, tools, and process improvements that enhance control effectiveness, visibility, standardization, and scalability.

- Facilitate effective collaboration across Security, Operations, Safety, Quality, IT, Compliance, Legal, Real Estate, Business Management, and Customer Enablement.

- Build trusted relationships across organizational levels and cultures, using sound judgment, emotional intelligence, diplomacy, and effective communication to influence outcomes without relying solely on direct authority.

- Lead discussions constructively during sensitive incidents, crisis response, audit findings, and control gaps, maintaining accountability while encouraging openness and solution-focused collaboration.

- Promote security awareness through communication, guidance, workshops, and training tailored to regional and site requirements.

- Identify security implications associated with growth opportunities and operational changes, ensuring that GCM and relevant stakeholders receive timely advice.

- Share lessons learned and best practices across regions, enabling sites to adopt consistent and proven security solutions.

- Safety

Collaborate with AWS team and DSV Operations to align and develop a harmonized standard Safety Program globally.

- Responsible for driving strategic scope (Safety Program) for the Global Customer Management (GCM) Team with a focus on process & tools development, standardization, harmonized reporting & compliance

- Act as senior Safety expert ensuring global standardization of processes/tools/systems, continuous improvement/innovation/best practice sharing and support new business implementations

- Partner with GCM colleagues across Business Management, Customer Enablement, and the Center of Excellence (CoE) to involve other program scope as required

- Build, maintain and manage relationships across all levels of the organization and act as the safety interface at global level to appropriate stakeholders on the customer side, understanding their demands

- Drive and facilitate the global strategic safety planning process (‘roadmap’) and associated supporting projects. Track and ensure strategic initiatives are managed, delivered, and measured to meet customer goals

- Drive safety performance across all sites globally in the account through continuous auditing, key metric monitoring and escalate any risks/issues

- Communicate proactively across business units and organizational layers to gain feedback, buy-in and alignment

- Challenge assumptions and use project/program management knowledge and expertise to keep leaders engaged

- Lead the development of safety communication strategy and execution of strategic scope to promote company strategy and priorities

- Support safety change management programs linked to the strategic scope that supports customer strategy

- Support operations to identify, design, and implement continuous improvement safety initiatives. Measure and report impact.

REQUIRED SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

- Candidate requires 7+ years’ experience in strategy, tactics, development, and facilitation. International management experience preferred.

- Business degree (Logistics or Supply Chain preferred )

- Fluent in English. Additional language skills are highly beneficial ​in global environment.

- Demonstratable E2E experience across sales, strategy, consulting, and supply chain

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to influence and collaborate effectively: team player

- Excellent organizational skills. Ability to multitask and prioritize on an ongoing basis. Project Management mindset

- Entrepreneurial-minded self-starter capable of working in a fast-paced, dynamic, changing work environment. Can work independently and is pro-active

- Must demonstrate ability to think strategically and tactically to drive cross-functional initiatives

- Can demonstrate mediation, problem-solving skills, ​ and quantitative analysis skills to conduct complex strategic analyses with limited guidance

- Proven interpersonal and leadership skills to develop strong working relationships at all levels/geographies . Presents well at executive level ​

- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office is required with an emphasis on written guidance content (Word) quantitative analysis (Excel) and the creation of presentations (PowerPoint)

- Must have proven track record for meeting or exceeding goals

- Travel domestically and internationally as required to support site assessments, audits, implementations, incident reviews, and stakeholder engagement.

For this position, the expected base pay range is $127,000-$159,000 USD Annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, and geographic location, in accordance with applicable laws and company policy.
