About us
Foundational is building the most precise picture of Earth and orbit, using lasers fired from the ground. We call it ground truth for orbit.
We design and run low-cost, autonomous satellite laser ranging stations. They measure the distance to satellites with extreme precision, day and night. Our data platform turns those measurements into tracking data and orbit products for satellite operators, space agencies and governments. We also build our own flight-proven laser retroreflector arrays, so any satellite can be tracked.
Our station network is expanding across Europe, South America, Africa and Australia. The data supports resilient navigation, Earth observation and the safe, sustainable use of space.
We're a small, fast-moving team of engineers, scientists and operators in London. We're backed by venture investors and supported by ESA, the UK Space Agency, Innovate UK and the European Innovation Council.
Position Overview
United States · Full time · Remote with travel
You'll open and grow our US customer base, starting with the constellation and new-space operators who can benefit most from precise laser tracking.
What you'll do
- Build and manage a pipeline of US commercial satellite operators
- Lead deals from first conversation to signed subscription
- Represent Foundational at US conferences and industry events
- Work with technical sales on proposals and pricing
- Bring back market intelligence to shape our product and go-to-market
What you'll bring
- Several years in business development or sales in the US space industry
- An existing network among satellite operators and new-space companies
- A track record of closing technical B2B deals
- The drive to work independently, remote from our London team and across time zones
Nice to have
- Selling data-as-a-service or ground segment services
- Experience in the PNT, space situational awareness or Earth observation markets
