Mint Health + Drugs seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our dynamic and growing team. In this role, you'll support and collaborate with a dedicated group of healthcare professionals, ensuring exceptional customer care and adhering to all regulatory requirements.

Education & Qualifications

- Active registration and valid practice permit

- Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing program

- 1 year experience practicing as an LPN, home health service delivery preferred.

- Enhanced Criminal Record Check

- A valid Class 5 driver's licence with a clean driving record

Key Responsibilities

- Assist with patient assessments and monitor health status

- Administer injections for flu and travel vaccines

- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records

- Educate patients on health management and treatment plans

- Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements

- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop care plans

- Care coordination between care providers, facility staff, and pharmacy team

- Address patient questions and concerns

- Daily witnessed dosing of Opioid Agonist Therapy

- Nursing assessment for signs of intoxication and/or withdrawal symptoms

- Administration of monthly injections such as insulin, Abilify, Invega

- Provide exceptional customer service and care

Experience & Skills

- Experience with patient assessments

- Working knowledge in related field

- Familiarization with technology

- Experience in addiction & mental health fields is an asset

- Community health LPN, Home Care LPN, or similar experience is an asset

- Strong organizational and time management skills

- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in patient care

- Familiarity with regulatory compliance standards in AB
