Job Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITIONS:

- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and non-production equipment in a manufacturing environment.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and automation-related issues.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and production calls to minimize downtime and quality concerns.
- Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance (PM), and scheduled maintenance activities.
- Conduct major equipment repairs, rebuilds, and overhauls as required.
- Maintain equipment in a safe, clean, and reliable operating condition.
- Analyze equipment failures and quality issues to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, and equipment reliability.
- Assist with installation, startup, optimization, and troubleshooting of new equipment and tooling.
- Troubleshoot and maintain PLCs, drives, servo systems, robots, and other industrial control systems.
- Support press automation systems and production dies, including electrical component maintenance and installation.
- Optimize equipment performance and cycle times through process improvements.
- Fabricate, modify, and repair machine components using shop equipment such as lathes, drill presses, cutting tools, welders, and torches.
- Utilize SAP or computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) to manage work orders, maintenance notifications, and repair documentation.
- Maintain compliance with all safety policies, including Lockout/Tagout procedures.
- Participate in special maintenance projects and perform additional duties as assigned.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION:

- Associate degree, technical diploma, apprenticeship, or equivalent combination of education and relevant industrial maintenance experience.

WORK EXPERIENCE / TECHNICAL TRAINING:

Required

- Associate degree, technical diploma, apprenticeship, or equivalent combination of education and relevant industrial maintenance experience.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
- Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and electrical diagrams.
- Welding, cutting torch, fabrication, and machining experience.
- Ability to work independently with little or no supervision.
- Basic computer skills and experience using maintenance software systems.
- Ability to use metric and standard measurement systems.

Preferred

- Experience with automotive manufacturing equipment, stamping presses, or automated production systems.
- Knowledge of Siemens S5/S7 PLCs, Beckhoff controls, or similar automation platforms.
- Experience troubleshooting industrial robots, servo drives, and motion control systems.
- Journeyman Electrician certification, Industrial Electrical/Electronic certification, or equivalent technical training.
- Experience with Fanuc, Pilz, Beckhoff TwinCAT, or similar automation technologies.

Pay range: $30.10 - $39.76 per hour
