Job Responsibilities:

Education and/or Experience:

- Bachelor’s degree plus two years of supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including spreadsheets, word processing, and database management.
- Knowledge of Just-In-Time (JIT) communication systems and Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to effectively lead teams and support operational objectives in a manufacturing environment.

Job Responsibilities:

- Supervise daily materials operations and lead department employees to ensure safe, efficient, and productive workflows.
- Foster positive employee relations through open communication, consistent policy administration, employee development, and conflict resolution.
- Manage inventory control activities, including cycle counts, material movement coordination, warehouse transfers, and trailer inventory management.
- Oversee logistics operations by scheduling shipments, coordinating carrier pickups and deliveries, tracking urgent shipments, and managing the Yard Management System.
- Ensure workplace organization and operational excellence by maintaining clean, orderly storage areas and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate and deliver training programs for material handling personnel and lead job rotation initiatives.
- Support departmental performance objectives by monitoring operational metrics, driving QMS requirements, and contributing to key QOS measures such as inventory turns and premium freight reduction.
- Promote and uphold the principles of the Magna Employee Charter, Corporate Constitution, and Operational Principles while fostering a positive, respectful, and engaged workplace culture.
- Lead employee engagement initiatives and drive accountability for Employee Opinion Survey (EOS) results and action plans.
- Maintain a safe work environment by identifying and eliminating hazards, enforcing safety policies and procedures, and ensuring timely investigation of workplace incidents and
- Lead by example by demonstrating a strong commitment to safety, quality, employee development, and operational excellence.
