As a Built-in Quality Digitalization Intern, you will drive digital quality initiatives by leveraging data analytics and automation to enhance process traceability and real-time decision-making. You will collaborate cross-functionally to digitize quality checkpoints and deploy scalable Industry 4.0 solutions, directly supporting our key objective of embedding proactive quality control into manufacturing operations.

Job Description

What you'll do

- Implementation of digital tools that improve first-time yield and reduce rework.
- Development of dashboards or analytics that provide actionable insights into quality performance.
- Increased process transparency and traceability through digital workflows.
- Contribution to a culture of proactive quality and continuous improvement.

What you'll bring

- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
Basic programming knowledge (e.g., Python, SQL, or VBA).
- Experience with Excel and data manipulation techniques.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
- Self-motivated with an ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Must have the ability to work in the US for an unlimited amount of time without sponsorship

What will make you stand out

- Familiarity of digital manufacturing systems (MES, ERP, QMS), Lean Six Sigma Principles and continuous improvement methodologies and hands-on experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and scripting languages (e.g., Python, R, SQL).
- Exposure to MES, ERP, or QMS platforms used in manufacturing environments.
- Understanding of quality control systems, defect tracking, and root cause analysis techniques.
- Strong interest in Industry 4.0, smart factory concepts, and digital transformation.
- Experience with project-based work, internships, or academic research related to manufacturing or quality systems.

In order to meet this mission, we provide varied, competitive benefits to help support our workforce.

The pay for this position ranges from $24.00/hr - $35.00/hr based on years of undergraduate/graduate field of study completed.

This position is also eligible for:

Relocation Assistance:  Co-op/Interns will be reimbursed for reasonable, proper, and documented expenditures incurred while initially reporting to work and returning to school/home upon completion of the assignment. Employees with a permanent address greater than 50 miles away from the work location are eligible.

Housing Allowance:  Co-op/Interns employees receive a weekly housing allowance to help off-set living expenses when the co-op/Intern’s permanent residence is at least 50 miles away from the work location.

GE Vernova Retirement Savings Plan (RSP) after their accumulated service reaches 90 days, and they meet any other eligibility requirements as defined in the plans. (Eligibility occurs on the 1st of the month following the 90th day.)
