Expert Data Analyst

Expert Data Analyst positions offered by Volvo Group North America, LLC (Greensboro, North Carolina). Drive the North American Data Analytics activities within the Quality organization by ensuring accuracy, completeness, and consistency of organizational data. Develop and apply data quality rules, standards, and governance frameworks that support reliable, scalable, and harmonized global reporting practices. Contribute to defining the team’s strategy and roadmap in alignment with global data initiatives, while collaborating closely with colleagues in Europe, India, and Brazil. Provide guidance and knowledge-sharing to strengthen analytical capabilities and foster a culture of data-driven decision-making. Maintain integrity and consistency of data across multiple sources—including warranty, logged vehicle, customer, manufacturing, and high-resolution truck data—through profiling, cleaning, and root cause analysis of data quality issues, partnering with stakeholders to resolve discrepancies. Execute analytics assignments across all stages, from exploratory data analysis to advanced statistical modeling, to uncover business insights, detect emerging issues, and forecast quality and uptime performance. Work in close partnership with Engineering, Purchasing, and Q&CS functions to align on shared goals, harmonize global reporting and analytics strategies, and support unified warranty reporting across Volvo and Mack brands in North America. Support the development and execution of the organization’s data science and analytics roadmap, enabling continuous improvement and informed decision-making across global operations.

Minimum Requirements:

- Requires a bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field and 3 years of experience working with one of the following SAS Institute data analytics tools: Enterprise Guide, Databricks, or Azure tables.

- Must have 3 years of experience in each of the following:

Working with the following technical tools: SQL, Python, R, Azure Analytics Cloud, Jupyter Notebook, Power BI and Apache Spark

- Performing SAS Analytics, including SAS Enterprise Guide programming

- Performing warranty data analytics in a Quality setting

- Working with unsupervised and supervised machine learning techniques

- In lieu of a bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in the aforementioned fields and 3 years of experience as state, employer will accept 5 years of experience.

- Experience may be acquired prior to completion of degree.

- Experience may be, but need not be, acquired concurrently.

We are offering a salary of $162,845 to $169,900 per year.
