Senior Network Engineer
Location: Irvine, California | Onsite | Full-Time

Mitsubishi Chemical Group is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to join our Digital team, supporting our MCCFC operations in Irvine, California. This opportunity combines ownership of network infrastructure with hands-on technical support in a manufacturing environment.

You will help improve network reliability, lead infrastructure upgrades, and support employees with their everyday technology needs. You will also contribute to projects including a transition away from Citrix, network switch replacements, and technology deployment for new facilities.

What you’ll do

- Maintain and improve network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, cabling, and servers.
- Lead infrastructure projects, equipment upgrades, and technology deployments, coordinating implementation to minimize disruption to operations.
- Support the transition from Citrix to PC-based applications, including workstation deployment, application configuration, and retirement of legacy servers.
- Coordinate network connectivity, equipment installation, and PC deployment for facility expansion projects.
- Manage backups, file recovery, and system restoration to support business continuity.
- Provide Level 1 and Level 2 onsite technical support, including troubleshooting and component replacement for desktops and laptops.
- Support employees using Microsoft technologies and Microsoft 365 in a corporate environment.
- Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues, monitor performance, and implement improvements to reliability and security.
- Maintain network documentation, configurations, and topology maps.
- Use basic scripting and automation to improve recurring tasks while developing your skills alongside experienced colleagues.

What you’ll bring

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field highly preferred; equivalent relevant experience will be considered.

- 7+ years of experience in network administration or engineering, including experience performing senior-level responsibilities.
- At least two to three years of practical, hands-on experience working with network infrastructure, including switches, routers, and servers.
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing desktop and laptop hardware, including replacing individual components.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft technologies and Microsoft 365 administration and support in a corporate environment.
- An understanding of network architecture, protocols, and security practices.
- Experience coordinating infrastructure upgrades, migrations, or other technology projects.
- Basic scripting skills, such as PowerShell or Python, and an interest in expanding your automation capabilities.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and work independently.
- Manufacturing experience is preferred. Professional certifications are not required.
- Site-specific on-call and after-hours support is required

Pay Transparency

The salary range for this position is $95,300–$125,100. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary may also be subject to geographic adjustment if authorization is granted to work outside of the posted location.
