Summer Analyst, Private Wealth - The Coury Firm

This role will report directly to Director Level personnel within the Private Wealth division, or their designee.

INTERNSHIP PROGRAM OBJECTIVE
The goal of the Summer Analyst, Private Wealth position at The Coury Firm is to provide an opportunity for real-world application of wealth management, financial planning, and client service concepts learned in the academic environment. This internship program seeks to equip interns with the knowledge and experience they need to be successful. Individual instruction combined with shadowing mentors allows interns to make the connection between theory and practice.
The Coury Firm honors the internship experience as an opportunity to provide mentorship. Our leadership is highly invested in the program, and interns get the chance for one-on-one interaction with our CEO, Lead Advisors, and other Asset Management and Corporate & Business Advisory teams.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
A Summer Analyst, Private Wealth will work collaboratively with the Firm's Client Service Associates and Wealth Planning Analysts supporting a variety of projects including but not limited to client onboarding and servicing, financial planning support, meeting preparation, and CRM and reporting administration.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Assisting with client onboarding processes and helping maintain accurate client information in the Firm's CRM and document management systems
- Supporting Client Service Associates with account servicing tasks, including tracking money movement requests, account balance inquiries, and other routine client service items
- Helping gather and organize data for comprehensive financial planning engagements, including developing planning scenarios and analysis under the guidance of a Wealth Planning Analyst or Advisor
- Assisting in preparing client meeting materials and presentations, and helping manage meeting notes and follow-up action items
- Supporting the review of client portfolios for asset allocation and rebalancing considerations
- Coordinating with internal teams (investment operations, reporting, compliance, and billing) to help ensure client paperwork and transactions are processed accurately and on time
- Assisting with scheduling, calendar management, and confirming client appointments for Advisors
- Supporting the preparation of client correspondence, letters, and email communications
- Shadowing Client Service Associates and Wealth Planning Analysts to gain exposure to the full private wealth client service lifecycle
- Other duties and special projects as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
The Summer Analyst, Private Wealth must meet the following qualifications to qualify for application/consideration:
- Be a 2nd or 3rd year undergraduate candidate in a finance, business, or related program, or a current graduate student pursuing an MBA
- Be open to all academic degrees; a background in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field is preferred
- Be in good academic standing with a minimum GPA of 3.3
- Have an interest in wealth management, financial planning, or client service within a multi-family office environment
- Be proficient in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
- Be able to work in a fast-paced, team-based environment with minimal supervision
- Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the professionalism to interact directly with high-net-worth clients
- Demonstrate excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Demonstrate excellent work ethic, a desire for continual improvement, and strong intellectual curiosity
