Support the efforts to analyze and evaluate existing internal prevention/mitigation/detection processes and/or systems of a particular business unit. Participate in continuous review and updates to ensure that systems and processes meet changing business conditions. Responsible for collaborating with business process owners.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.
1. Support project-oriented work efforts in the fraud areas of problem identification and resolution, performance and productivity improvement and quality enhancements.
2. Assist in Liability Risk Management (LRM) systems implementation testing and any training that becomes necessary as a result of conclusions reached in project-related activities of systems implementation or policy change.
3. Utilize PC and/or mainframe based systems and software, detection systems and claims management system to compile and prepare reports, and graphs and charts of data developed. May include the creation of financial and/or loss reports.
4. Gather documents, perform analysis, maintain statistics, create records and reports that highlight trends and help establish policies, procedures and quality control standards.
5. Provide input and support in the planning and prioritization for business systems related processes and policies.
6. Recommend strategies to improve rule parameters and/or processes for mitigating losses.
7. Assist with the planning, development and documentation to facilitate business recovery strategies and participate in testing and deployment, if needed.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and related training
2. Three years of experience in financial services industry, including two years of fraud experience or equivalent, which provides a working knowledge of financial services transaction processing
3. Ability to work independently in a detailed and deadline-oriented environment
4. Strong level of knowledge regarding systems, fraud processes and risk mitigation
5. Possess a strong sense of urgency, strong independent reasoning, analytical, organizational and operational skills
6. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate (verbal and written) clearly to internal and external clients
7. Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications such as Microsoft Office software products
8. Ability to analyze, process, and communicate information timely and accurately
9. Understanding of basic accounting principles in a financial environment
10. Strong time management and organizational skills
11. Ability and willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends, as required
Preferred Qualifications
1. Five years of financial services industry experience, including four years of fraud experience and/or experience which provides a working knowledge of financial services transaction processing
2. Strong knowledge of, and ability to apply various regulatory guidelines (includes one or more of the following): Regulation E, Regulation CC, Uniform Commercial Code (UCC), National Automated Clearing House (NACHA), Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), Visa rules, Identity Theft Red Flags, Regulation J, Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA)
