Summary
This position plays a key role in supporting global financial planning, forecasting, management reporting, and business performance analysis. This position partners across Finance and the broader organization to consolidate financial results and forecasts, analyze performance, identify key business drivers, and translate financial data into meaningful insights that support management decision-making.
The role is well suited for a finance professional with 3–5 years of progressive experience who combines strong financial and analytical capabilities with curiosity, attention to detail, and a continuous-improvement mindset. The successful candidate will be comfortable working with large and complex data sets, managing recurring financial processes, identifying opportunities to improve reporting and processes, and communicating financial insights clearly to a variety of stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a liaison between Finance and business partners, developing a strong understanding of business activities, financial performance, and key drivers to support effective decision-making.
- Coordinate and support global forecasting and annual budgeting processes, including collection and validation of submissions, consolidation of financial results, management of assumptions, and variance analysis.
- Support month-end close and management reporting by validating financial information, investigating results, and ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
- Perform detailed variance and trend analysis across actuals, forecast, budget, and prior periods. Identify and clearly communicate key business drivers, emerging trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Develop and maintain financial models and analytical tools that support forecasting, scenario analysis, business performance evaluation, and management decision-making.
- Prepare recurring and ad hoc financial analysis for Finance leadership and business partners, translating complex financial and operational data into concise, actionable insights.
- Manage and maintain financial data used in planning, forecasting, and reporting processes, with a strong focus on data accuracy, consistency, and controls.
- Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities that increase efficiency, improve data quality, strengthen controls, and reduce manual effort across FP&A processes.
- Develop and maintain reporting tools, templates, models, and documentation that improve the scalability, transparency, and repeatability of FP&A processes
Typical Education
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of progressive experience in FP&A, corporate finance, accounting, or a related analytical finance role.
- Strong understanding of financial statements, management reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze financial results, identify underlying business drivers, and communicate conclusions clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively with large, complex, and occasionally imperfect data sets.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience building or maintaining financial models and analytical tools.
- Experience with enterprise financial systems and business intelligence/reporting tools preferred. Experience with SAP, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), Power BI, Power Query, or similar platforms is a plus.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage recurring deliverables and ad hoc priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to summarize complex financial information into clear and concise business insights.
- Demonstrated initiative and continuous-improvement mindset, including the ability to identify inefficiencies and develop practical solutions.
