In this position...

- Ford Motor Company continues to grow and modernize production vehicles for our customers seeking the ultimate capability and performance. In support of this effort, the Ford Racing Team is looking for a technical business leader with passion for high performing vehicles to lead a vehicle program.
- The Ford Racing Assistant Chief Program Engineer is responsible for all aspects of delivering a production vehicle program into a manufacturing facility. Position is focused on timely completion of the engineering system and component designs that are compatible with program financial targets.
- Workload includes managing the product development process using key milestone metrics and resolving cross-functional issues. Communication with partners across Ford and Supplier organizations to align objectives and manage a timely decision-making process. Maintain the team’s focus on the product's key aspects to succeed in the enthusiast marketplace.

You'll have...

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- 10 years of experience in Automotive OEM.
- 5 years of experience in either Vehicle Engineering or Program Management
- Demonstrated experience in leading engineering teams.
- Knowledge of the product development process from concept to the plant build process.
- Strong business acumen

Even better, you may have...

- Engineering MS or MBA equivalent degree or higher
- Prior experience as a Chief Program Engineer or Assistant Chief Program Engineer
- Automotive plant experience, either from launching vehicles or working in a plant engineering team.
- Working understanding of problem-solving skills, for example, (failure mode and effects analysis, causes, severity, detection methods, and statistical methods)
- Ability to develop clear working-level documents and management presentations, as well as clear/concise communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage several unique tasks simultaneously.
- Ability and willingness to travel to both Ford and supplier locations, domestic and international.

This position is leadership level 5 and ranges from $141,700-$268,300.

Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.
