You’ve developed so many organization-wide software architectures that you can not only orchestrate the best solution for any technical challenge, but you can also anticipate future concerns. That’s because you’re a Pega architect with a solid background in solution architecture, integration patterns, data flows, and enterprise application design. At Booz Allen, you can use those skills to improve the software technology supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs within the Community Care product line.

On our team, you’ll translate your customer’s software needs and future goals into a plan by defining solution architecture, integration patterns, data flows, and nonfunctional requirements aligned to enterprise standards. You’ll evaluate design options, document tradeoffs, and guide implementation through architecture reviews and technical decisions. You’ll use architecture documentation, diagrams, interface specifications, technical standards, and SDLC governance practices to design effective Pega and enterprise software solutions.

Your technical expertise will be vital as you establish security, scalability, availability, observability, and maintainability practices across environments. You’ll collaborate with product owners, analysts, developers, testers, infrastructure teams, and other stakeholders to resolve cross-system dependencies and support high-quality releases.

You Have:

- 7+ years of experience in software architecture, solution architecture, or a technical architecture role
- Experience producing architecture decisions, diagrams, interface specifications, data flows, and nonfunctional requirements
- Experience evaluating design options, documenting technical tradeoffs, and guiding implementation through architecture reviews and technical decisions
- Experience with secure integrations, APIs, data models, cloud or enterprise platforms, and software development lifecycle governance
- Ability to establish and communicate architecture practices for security, scalability, availability, observability, maintainability, and upgrade readiness
- Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:

- Experience designing or architecting Pega solutions, case-management platforms, workflows, integrations, data objects, rules, and decision logic
- Experience supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs, federal health IT, or other regulated healthcare programs
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, Git, Microsoft 365, and collaborative Agile delivery tools
- Experience with healthcare interoperability, FHIR, X12, EDI, Edifecs, Azure, Databricks, or Power Platform
- Ability to demonstrate ownership of work, pay strict attention to detail, and work independently while collaborating in a distributed team
- Ability to demonstrate commitment to developing secure, accessible, testable, and supportable products
- Possession of excellent written and verbal communication skills with technical and nontechnical stakeholders

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $112,900.00 to $257,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
