Dungarvin is hosting a Virtual Hiring Event for experienced Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) interested in joining our Santa Rosa Day Program.

**If you have experience supporting adults with intellectual or developmental disabilities and are looking for a consistent weekday schedule where you can make a real impact, we want to talk to you.**

Phone Interviews:  Thursday, October 8th and Thursday, October 15th
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m.-3:00 p.m. | 32.5 hours per week | benefits eligible 
Pay: $23.50/hour
Location:   Santa Rosa, CA

How the Virtual Hiring Event Works:

- Qualified candidates will receive a link to schedule a 15-20 minute phone interview on October 8 or October 15.

What We Offer:

- Hourly Rate: $23.50/hour
- Full Range Scale:  $23.50 - $26.20 per hour.  The starting rate for this position is fixed at $23.50 per hour.  Pay increases occur over time and are tied to tenure/length of employment with Dungarvin.

Job Description

Why This Role is Different:

Our Santa Rosa Day Program is an active group environment where DSPs spend their day teaching, mentoring, engaging, and supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

What You'll Actually Do:

- Lead creative group activities
- Teach and reinforce life skills that build confidence and promote independence and choice-making
- Support community outings and volunteer activities
- Provide motivation, encouragement, and positive reinforcement to help persons served reach their long-term goals
- Provide personal care, including restroom, hygiene, eating, and mobility support
- Provide behavioral support and use trained de-escalation techniques
- Support individuals with verbal and nonverbal communication needs
- Follow individualized support and behavior plans
- Drive company vehicles for outings and community activities
- Complete electronic documentation related to goals, progress, and daily activities
- Prepare, clean, and reset program areas throughout the day
- Work closely with your team in a busy and active environment 
- Collaborate with supervisors, families, and team members to ensure person-centered support

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, you must have:

- At least 6 months of experience supporting adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities
- Experience in an adult day program, group home, behavioral program, or community-based setting preferred
- Hands-on experience with personal care, behavioral support, skill development, or other direct support services
- Familiarity with developmental disabilities, autism, person-centered practices, and behavior support strategies is highly desirable
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn electronic documentation systems
- Strong reading, writing, and communication skills
- Adaptable, proactive, patient, and engaged
- Compassionate, dependable, and motivated
- Teamwork and the ability to thrive in a dynamic and active work environment
- Ability to lift and transfer up to 50 lbs.
- Must be 18 years or older
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license and ability to drive a company van

Relevant experience may include work as a  Direct Support Professional, Behavior Technician, RBT, Residential Counselor, Community Support Worker, Job Coach, Respite Provider, or another direct-support role working with adults with I/DD.
