About the Role

Based in Rydalmere , this role will support the Industrial Refrigeration team in delivering engineering and installation solutions across a diverse range of industrial projects.

You will gain exposure to the full project lifecycle, from concept development and design through to project delivery, commissioning, and ongoing customer support.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform engineering calculations and develop industrial refrigeration system designs
- Assist in preparing cost estimates, proposals, and tender submissions
- Analyse existing refrigeration systems and identify opportunities for optimisation and upgrades
- Support project delivery activities, including procurement, scheduling, supplier coordination, and project administration
- Assist in managing project budgets, costs, and reporting requirements
- Participate in risk assessments and ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality standards
- Develop knowledge of Australian and international refrigeration standards and regulations
- Support engineering and safety audits
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across engineering and project management processes
- Assist with commissioning and testing of new refrigeration systems
- Provide technical support to service and maintenance teams
- Engage with customers, contractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders throughout project delivery
- Promote and uphold GBI's strong commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction

About You

Essential Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical , Chemical , or Process Engineering discipline
- Exposure to Thermodynamics and Fluid Mechanics as part of your studies
- Ability to read, interpret, and develop engineering drawings
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proactive attitude and willingness to take initiative
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
- Desire to learn from a broad range of stakeholders, including engineers, tradespeople, fabricators, consultants, and customers
