The Director of Growth & Strategic Partnerships will play a critical leadership role in launching and expanding The Ascent. This individual will be responsible for marketing, business development, strategic partnerships, customer acquisition, and revenue growth while helping shape the long-term vision of the organization. This position is ideal for a former collegiate athlete who understands teamwork, leadership, competition, and performance and who possesses a strong business mindset and desire to help build something extraordinary.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Business Development & Strategic Partnerships -- Develop and execute business development strategies. Identify and secure new client relationships; build partnerships with organizations. Generate qualified leads and sales opportunities. Represent The Ascent at conferences and events. Build relationships with college athletic programs, law enforcement agencies, healthcare organizations, fire and EMS organizations, and businesses.
- Marketing & Brand Development -- Assist in building The Ascent brand. Develop marketing campaigns and promotional initiatives. Manage social media and digital marketing efforts. Coordinate marketing materials and customer communications. Support event promotion and customer recruitment.
- Revenue Generation & Program Growth -- Meet growth and revenue goals. Maintain customer relationships. Create repeat business opportunities. Support membership and partnership programs. Assist in the development of new programs and offerings. Gather customer feedback and market intelligence. Help identify emerging opportunities and future markets.
- Leadership -- Serve as a key member of the leadership team. Assist in strategic planning and long-term vision development. Help build a culture focused on excellence, innovation, and service.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Former collegiate athlete, with 5+ years of business development, sales, marketing or customer relationship management.
- Demonstrated leadership in critical thinking, data analysis, communications, budget management, team building & leading, problem solving.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Leadership, Organizational Development, Sports Management
- Fo rmer team captain of collegiate athletic team, 10+ years of P&L management experience of a business.
- E xecutive level entrepreneurial mindset, highly motivated and comfortable building something new, thrives in a fast-paced environment and communicates exceptionally well.
