CetraRuddy is seeking an experienced Architectural Staff member to join our team. In this role, you will work through all phases of the design process on a diverse range of residential, cultural, and institutional projects. You will own and produce specific scopes of work, coordinate directly with clients, consultants, and vendors under the guidance of project management, and help guide interns and entry-level staff who support your work.

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with staff and Project Managers to develop design layouts and frameworks, including preparing drawings and specifications.
- Support project management by translating the Project Manager's decisions into actionable steps and tracking progress against deadlines and deliverables.
- With guidance from project management, own coordination with clients, vendors, and consultants within your assigned scope, including tracking open items, driving responses, and keeping the team aligned across disciplines.
- Produce technical design materials, drawings, and renderings, recommending solutions that align with client needs and project goals.
- Prepare and review project documentation, specifications, takeoffs, and calculations.
- Research building codes, zoning regulations, and project requirements to ensure compliance and support sustainability practices.
- Own and produce assigned scope of work from start to finish, providing direction and feedback to interns and entry-level staff as needed
- Participate in site visits to assess project conditions, verify design accuracy, and document field observations.
Skills/Requirements
- Professional degree in Architecture; Master's preferred but not required.
- Minimum of 6 years of related experience.
- Licensure is a plus. If not licensed, must be actively pursuing or on a defined path toward licensure.
- Skilled in creating design studies and technical drawings that follow industry standards and conventions, with the ability to apply firm drawing standards consistently.
- Clearly understands and communicates a project's design objectives and intent to both internal and external collaborators.
- Working understanding of how schedule, fee, and staffing decisions affect project delivery and quality.
- Proactive and collaborative, taking initiative to solve problems and applying established standards and best practices to new work with efficiency and adaptability.
- Experience directing and organizing the work of junior staff and interns.
- Willingness to participate in industry events and firm-wide activities as a representative of the firm.
Programs/Software
- Proficient in Revit (essential).
- Experience with Bluebeam and a real-time rendering tool (Enscape or D5 preferred).
- Skilled in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop).
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Rhino.
- Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
