About the role:

As a Senior Supplier Manufacturing Professional – APX Large Structures , you will oversee suppliers fabricating large structural and mechanical components for complex nuclear projects. You will help ensure manufacturing activities, technical documentation, inspections, testing, and corrective actions meet Westinghouse requirements. This role also includes evaluating supplier capabilities, resolving manufacturing issues, and improving processes involving welding, machining, forming, assembly, and nondestructive examination.

You will report to the Large Structures, SPx Manager and be assigned to our Kitchener or Burlington, Ontario, Canada facility. This position will follow a hybrid work schedule. Employees working in hybrid roles are expected to work onsite at their assigned Kitchener or Burlington facility two days per week.

This role begins in a hybrid work arrangement within the Cambridge/Toronto area. As project activities progress, increased time at supplier facilities may be required to support manufacturing oversight and project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform onsite and remote supplier oversight to confirm compliance with technical, quality, inspection, testing, and delivery requirements

- Develop and implement supplier oversight plans covering document submittals, manufacturing activities, surveillance points, inspections, and tests

- Evaluate supplier manufacturing capability, capacity, process controls, quality systems, and compliance with applicable codes and standards

- Coordinate corrective actions and supplier improvement plans to resolve quality, manufacturing, delivery, and supply risks

- Review supplier processes and technical documentation, including manufacturing and quality plans, PFMEAs, process capability analyses, and measurement system analyses

Qualifications:

- Minimum 5 years of experience in heavy fabrication involving welding and machining of large mechanical or structural components

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and relevant technical experience

- Knowledge of precision machining, welding, forming, mechanical assembly, nondestructive examination, inspection, and testing

- Experience reading engineering drawings and specifications developed to ASME standards

- Experience with process capability analysis, supplier qualification, corrective actions, and manufacturing or quality plans

- Experience leading complex supplier engagements and multiple concurrent cross-functional projects

- Experience with nuclear products and standards, pressure vessels, or other low-volume, specification-driven steel components

- Experience in nuclear, power generation, oil and gas, pipelines, refineries, offshore production, shipbuilding, or heavy manufacturing

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $78,400 to $98,000 per year.
