We're excited to introduce Tempo by Hilton Bethlehem , High Hotels' newest property scheduled to open in 2027. Located in Bethlehem's vibrant SouthSide Arts District, this lifestyle hotel will feature 140 guestrooms, a rooftop restaurant and bar, Moonsong Caf & Bar, wellness-focused amenities, flexible gathering spaces, and thoughtfully curated guest experiences. Tempo is Hilton's contemporary lifestyle brand designed around wellness, meaningful connection, and modern hospitality.
We are currently seeking a General Manager who will be responsible for the overall leadership, operation, and performance of the hotel, including guest services, rooms, food & beverage operations, financial performance, facilities, and coworker engagement. This key leader will ensure the delivery of an exceptional guest experience while achieving business objectives, maintaining brand standards, and fostering a positive, high-performing workplace culture.
The General Manager serves as a visible leader within the hotel and local community, building strong relationships with guests, coworkers, ownership representatives, business partners, and community organizations. This role also oversees all food & beverage operations, including restaurant, bar, meeting, and event services, while driving revenue growth and operational excellence across the property.
This is a full-time leadership position. Candidates must have the flexibility to work a varied schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and as business needs dictate.
The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. Equivalent education and experience may be considered.
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive hotel management or operations leadership experience required .
- Experience in a full-service, lifestyle, or branded hotel environment preferred.
- Food & beverage leadership experience strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, develop, and retain high-performing teams.
- Proven experience managing budgets, financial performance, labor costs, and operational goals.
- Strong knowledge of hotel operations, guest service standards, and revenue management principles.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and hotel property management systems (PMS).
- Experience with food & beverage point-of-sale (POS) systems.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol service requirements preferred.
- Hilton brand experience preferred.
- Valid driver's license required .
General description of essential job functions and responsibilities:
- Provides strategic leadership and direction for all hotel operations, including guest services, housekeeping, maintenance, food & beverage, sales, and coworker engagement.
- Ensures exceptional guest experiences by maintaining high service standards and responding effectively to guest feedback and operational opportunities.
- Leads, develops, and supports hotel leadership teams and coworkers through recruitment, onboarding, training, coaching, and performance development.
- Oversees all food & beverage operations to ensure outstanding service, product quality, profitability, and compliance with applicable regulations and brand standards.
- Develops and executes business strategies, operating plans, budgets, forecasts, and revenue initiatives to achieve financial objectives.
- Monitors hotel performance metrics and implements continuous improvement initiatives to drive operational excellence and guest satisfaction.
- Evaluates market conditions and competitive positioning to identify opportunities for growth, increased revenue, and enhanced market share.
- Ensures the hotel, grounds, facilities, guest rooms, public spaces, and food & beverage outlets are maintained to company and brand standards.
- Maintains compliance with company policies, safety standards, quality assurance requirements, and all federal, state, and local regulations.
- Reviews operational and financial reports, monitors expenses, and takes corrective action as necessary to improve results.
- Promotes positive coworker relations and collaborates with Human Resources to support engagement, retention, and a strong workplace culture.
- Serves as a visible ambassador for the hotel and High Hotels through participation in community, business, and industry organizations.
- Supports and drives sustainability initiatives and environmental stewardship efforts throughout hotel operations.
- Ensures property readiness for brand inspections, audits, reviews, and quality assurance programs.
- Works closely with ownership representatives, corporate leadership, and business partners to achieve short- and long-term organizational goals.
- For new hotel developments and openings, provides leadership in operational planning, talent acquisition, culture development, training, and post-opening stabilization activities.
