Primary Responsibilities

The CCAMPIS Family Success Coordinator is responsible for:

1. Providing leadership, coordination, and oversight for all CCAMPIS program activities designed to improve student parent retention, persistence, academic success, and graduation outcomes.

2. Serving as the primary single point of contact for CCAMPIS participants through a holistic case management and family success model that incorporates strengths-based, trauma-informed, and family-centered practices.

3. Coordinating individualized student support services through collaboration with NCC departments including Advising, Counseling, Financial Aid, Registration, Bursar, Career Services, Learning Center, Institutional Research, Student Life, Enrollment Management, Early Childhood Education faculty, and additional campus and community partners.

4. Developing and implementing proactive student success and early intervention strategies that address academic, financial, childcare, personal, and family-related barriers impacting student persistence and completion.

5. Managing the recruitment, outreach, intake, selection, onboarding, and retention processes for CCAMPIS participants using established program criteria, data-informed decision-making practices, and collaborative marketing strategies.

6. Supporting student parents in accessing affordable, high-quality childcare services through NCC’s Children’s Centers while assisting families in navigating enrollment procedures and available childcare support resources.

7. Collaborating with NCC’s Children’s Centers, which also serve as laboratory schools for the Early Childhood Education program, to support family engagement initiatives, parent education opportunities, and student-parent participation in campus early learning programs.

8. Coordinating and facilitating parent engagement programming, workshops, peer support opportunities, and family-centered educational events in partnership with ECE faculty, student affairs professionals, and community organizations.

9. Developing strategic partnerships with regional agencies and organizations that support student parents and young children, including family support agencies, workforce organizations, and social service systems.

10. Assisting students interested in advanced degree attainment and transfer opportunities through coordination with NCC Transfer Counselors and academic advising staff.

11. Maintaining accurate program records and participant documentation while coordinating with NCC’s Institutional Research Office to collect, analyze, and report data related to grant benchmarks, retention outcomes, participation metrics, assessment measures, and federally required annual and final Department of Education reporting.

12. Supporting program visibility, enrollment growth, and community awareness efforts through outreach, presentations, recruitment activities, relationship-building, marketing collaboration, and student engagement initiatives.

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree required in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Education, Human Services, Student Affairs, Family Studies, Social Work, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.

· Minimum of three to five years of professional experience in one or more of the following areas: early childhood education, childcare administration, family support services, higher education student affairs, case management, student success programming, enrollment management, or community-based programming.

· Demonstrated knowledge of child development, family engagement practices, and early childhood education systems required.

· Experience working within higher education environments and familiarity with college student support systems, advising structures, and retention strategies preferred.

· Knowledge of childcare programming, childcare licensing systems, childcare subsidy processes, and early learning program operations strongly preferred.

· Demonstrated experience in recruitment, outreach, mentoring, enrollment support, marketing, relationship management, and community engagement initiatives.

· Experience working with non-traditional, parenting, first-generation, low-income, and historically underserved student populations required.

· Strong interpersonal, organizational, communication, presentation, assessment, and technology skills required.

· Ability to build collaborative partnerships across academic departments, student affairs divisions, childcare systems, and community organizations.

· Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, highly relational environment while maintaining professionalism, confidentiality, and student-centered practices.

· Self-directed, highly motivated professional with strong problem-solving, leadership, and advocacy skills.
