Major Food Group is partnering with Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood to bring a new dining experience to one of South Florida’s most dynamic destinations.

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Assistant Maître D to join our team!

The Assistant Maître D supports the Maître D in delivering refined, personalized guest service in a fine dining environment. This role helps manage reservations and guest flow, assists with table assignments and dining room pacing, and partners with restaurant leadership and the service team to ensure a seamless experience from arrival through departure.

Key responsibilities include assisting with guest greeting and seating, supporting VIP recognition and guest recovery, coordinating with the host stand and servers to maintain accurate wait times and smooth turns, and upholding service standards, appearance, and professionalism throughout the dining room.

Essential Job Functions:

- Must be reliable and conscientious, possess the ability to interact (in English) with guests, co-workers and supervisory staff.
- Must be accurate and detail oriented with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- The ability to act quickly and exercise good judgment under pressure and/or conflict situations is a must.

- Professional, articulate, friendly, and punctual.
- Possesses and exhibits the drive to provide exceptional service.
- Proficient in computer skills including POS systems, Word and Excel.

Qualifications:

Minimum two (2) years as an Assistant Maître D, or similar role, experience in a high-volume, fine dining restaurant required.

- Previous experience in hospitality, or customer service required.
- Open availability including nights, weekends, and holidays is required.

Work Environment:

- May be exposed to casino related environmental factors including, but not limited to, secondhand smoke and excessive noise.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
