About the Role
We are hiring Temporary Production/Material Handlers to support daily operations in a busy manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on position focused on preparing, organizing, and staging materials and containers for production.
The ideal candidate is dependable, physically capable, safety-conscious, and comfortable working on their feet in a fast-paced plant environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Level and rake preforms in open bins to ensure materials are properly positioned
- Place lids on bins as required
- Insert bags into bins based on product requirements
- Build and stage Gaylord boxes for production
- Strap and secure Gaylord boxes
- Build and assemble bins as needed
- Move and stage materials to designated areas
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of debris
- Follow all safety procedures and production guidelines
- Perform other general production and material handling duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Previous manufacturing, production, warehouse, or material handling experience preferred but not required
- Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks
- Strong attention to detail
- Reliable and dependable attendance
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Safety-conscious approach to all tasks
- Willingness to work a 12-hour shift
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and perform repetitive movements
- Ability to lift and move materials as required
- Ability to work around manufacturing equipment and production materials
- Ability to maintain productivity throughout a 12-hour shift
- Must be comfortable working in a plant/manufacturing environment
- Must follow all required PPE and safety requirements
