IT Systems Intern

SWBC is seeking talented students to join our College Intern Program in San Antonio, Texas. This is an exciting opportunity for college students who are motivated and eager to learn within their educational field of study.

Interns will gain practical hands-on experience and training that will provide an opportunity for growth, learning and development within the financial services industry. Internship opportunities will be available in numerous IT departments and will be placed within a specific department based on interest, experience, academic coursework and SWBC’s business need.

Essential duties include the following:

- Assists with the Systems team around application monitoring to ensure the correct operational state of SWBC IT Services, including working with monitoring technology (Solarwinds, Website Pulse, Splunk).
- Work with Infrastructure Systems team on the administration of the Windows servers including features such as ACLs (Access Control Lists), AD (Active Directory), VDI (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure), and virtualization.
- Interns will be responsible for handling tickets and tracking identified issues to a successful resolution.
- Learn key technical skills to apply acquired knowledge and assist in problem solving.
- Gain practical, hands-on experience that will provide an opportunity for growth.
- Work alongside and shadow team members while expanding your knowledge base with the ability to further develop your skills.

Serious candidates will possess the minimum qualifications:

- Currently pursuing a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in IT, MIS, Cybersecurity, or related program from an accredited university/college.
- Expected graduation date of May 2027 or later.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and interpersonal skills required.
- Detail-oriented and possess excellent follow up skills.
- Organized and adapt well to change.
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
- Passion and desire for learning and a proactive energy for getting things done.
- Obtain a letter of recommendation from a MIS department professor.
- Display maturity and a high level of professionalism.
