Cherry Bekaert's consulting team is assisting a large, diversified organization in identifying an experienced Interim Fractional CFO to provide executive financial leadership during a CFO transition.

Reporting directly to the CEO, this consultant will provide continuity and oversight across a complex multi-entity enterprise that includes federal contracting and commercial operations. The focus is on executive leadership, not day-to-day accounting execution.

Key Responsibilities

- Serve as a strategic financial partner to the CEO and executive leadership team

- Oversee year-end audit readiness and financial reporting activities

- Support acquisition integration efforts and purchase accounting matters

- Lead executive review and completion of the annual budgeting process

- Provide enterprise-wide financial oversight across multiple business units

- Ensure a smooth transition to the incoming permanent CFO

Qualifications

- Prior CFO, Divisional CFO, or senior finance executive experience

- Background in large, complex, multi-entity organizations

- Federal government contracting experience preferred

- Experience with audits, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting

- M&A, integration, and purchase accounting experience preferred

- CPA preferred

Engagement Details

- Start: Immediate

- Duration: Approximately 60 days, with potential extension

- Location: Anchorage, AK but open to candidates willing to travel

- Schedule: Significant on-site presence required

- Travel: Available for qualified candidates outside Alaska in the Northwest USA

- Systems: Microsoft Dynamics and Deltek Costpoint
