Squishable is a close-knit team of designers, artists, pop-culture fanatics, and lovers of all things adorable. Together we create the cutest, cuddliest (and sometimes downright unusual) plush and lifestyle products in the world. With the millions-strong Squishable fan community cheering us on (and a lot of cupcakes, coffee, and karaoke) we make people say “awww.” Our offices are in a sunny SoHo loft in NYC and in downtown Washington, DC.
Calling all actors, performers, improv lovers, and big personalities!
This holiday season, Squishable is bringing a playful new pop-up experience to Mall of America — and we’re looking for energetic performers to help bring it to life.
Our immersive Plush Parlor experience will transport guests into a colorful, whimsical world inspired by the fun and personality of Squishable. As a Temporary Experience Performer, you’ll become part of that world, interacting with guests, playing a character, creating memorable moments, and helping make every visit feel like an experience rather than just a trip to the store.
What You'll Do
- Perform an assigned character or role within our Plush Parlor experience
- Greet and interact with guests while staying in character
- Use improvisation and storytelling to create fun, personalized interactions
- Help guide guests through different parts of the experience
- Encourage participation, laughter, photos, and memorable moments
- Learn and perform provided character backgrounds, talking points, and experience elements
- Adapt your performance based on the guests you're interacting with — from young children to adults
- Work closely with the retail and experience teams to keep the space energetic, welcoming, and running smoothly
- Support light guest-service and experience-related tasks as needed
Who We're Looking For
You don't need a long professional acting resume — we're looking for people who can commit to a character, think on their feet, and genuinely enjoy entertaining people.
You may be a great fit if you have experience in theater, acting, improv, children's entertainment, theme parks, immersive experiences, live events, or other performance-based work.
Most importantly, you should be:
- Energetic, expressive, and comfortable performing in front of others
- Confident improvising and interacting with guests one-on-one
- Comfortable engaging with children and families
- Able to stay in character while adapting to unexpected interactions
- Reliable and comfortable working in a busy, high-energy environment
- Available for a flexible seasonal schedule, including weekends, evenings, and peak holiday dates
The Details
Location: Mall of America – Bloomington, MN
Start Date: November 2026
Duration: Temporary seasonal position through the holiday season
Schedule: Part-time and/or full-time seasonal schedules may be available; weekend and holiday availability is required.
Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
This is a temporary seasonal opportunity and is perfect for performers looking for a fun, interactive role during the holiday season.
