The Subcontracts Manager 2 will provide leadership and oversight for the Mechanical and Cables/Connectors Subcontracts Team in the Mission Systems Category Management Organization. This team within Category Management Procurement & Subcontracts has a focus on mechanical and cables/connectors parts with our most critical suppliers. This position reports to the Category Management Subcontracts Manager and has supervisory responsibility for a team of Supply Chain Subcontracts Specialists.  This position will be working at a Linthicum Heights, MD NG facility.

Responsibilities require the individual to lead a team performing all phases of the subcontracts and procurement process, including strategizing with program teams to launch RFQs and meet tight deadlines and turn around times. The individual will be responsible for mission success of their supply chain responsibilities and ensuring the development of talent to grow Global Supply Chain. The position works with Planners, Program Management, Technical Leads, and other functional team members to manage the relationship with suppliers in support of Program performance objectives.

As a Manager, the position will have employees reporting directly to them; which entails day-to-day direction and oversight of the employees’ work product to include the preparation, negotiation, and administration of a mixed portfolio of procurements and subcontracts and assuring compliance with company PrOP and government regulations. They will work closely with the Category Management Subcontracts Manager and Director to meet department strategy and objectives and to manage oversight of the employees work product and individual career development needs.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 8 years of experience in Supply Chain Management and/or Subcontracts/Procurement and/or Program/Project Management and/or Manufacturing/Operations OR a Master’s Degree and a minimum of 6 years of experience that includes a background in Supply Chain Management and/or Subcontracts/Procurement and/or Program/Project Management and/or Manufacturing/Operations.

Minimum of 3 years experience as a team lead or direct manager of people.

Microsoft Office suite experience.

US Citizenship.

Ability to obtain and maintain Secret clearance (or higher).

Preferred Qualifications:

SAP experience.

Experience at government contractors.

Experience with FAR / DFAR.

Experience with Long Term Agreements, Non-Disclosure Agreements, and Overriding Terms and Conditions.

Primary Level Salary Range: $139,800.00 - $209,800.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
