In this position...

The Senior Engineer, Occupational Safety, working without supervision, is the site health and safety subject matter expert responsible for developing innovative solutions to occupational safety and security concerns such as hazard control and prevention, safety systems and equipment, compliance, risk, etc. with consistency in a timely manner.

- Work with other team members in the implementation of the Company’s Safety Operating System (SOS) and plant-wide safety processes such as emergency response planning, safety training, and with the application of technical standards, principles, theories, and concepts.
- Take on project leadership to guide other team members to continuously improve occupational safety programs.

You'll have...

- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Safety/Health Sciences, or any other related discipline.
- Experience: Minimum 4 years of occupational safety work experience with a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Health and Safety, Occupational Safety, or a related field.
- Work Requirements: Involves frequent (defined as one to two-thirds of the time) lifting of more than 10 to 25 pounds. Work performed requires a good deal of walking or standing and may include some sedentary work and working conditions that include moderate noise levels related to the use of office equipment or machinery. May involve exposure to varying outside temperatures.
- Must be available to work various shift as needed.
- Domestic and international travel may be required.

- Master’s Degree (preferred) in Occupational Health & Safety, Safety/Health Sciences, or related discipline.
- Certified Safety Professional
- Certified Industrial Hygienist
- Minimum 4 years of occupational safety work experience with a Master’s degree.

Company: As Ford establishes a wholly owned subsidiary focused on Battery Energy Storage Systems, this role will initially be employed by Ford and is expected to transition to the subsidiary within one year.

This position is a salary grade 8 and ranges from $99,100-$166,200.

Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.
