About this Role
The Sales Assistant is responsible for representing Tamarack Homes and demonstrating what we offer as a new home builder. They support the day-to-day sales center experience by welcoming customers, assisting Sales Representatives, maintaining accurate purchaser information, and helping ensure the new home sales process runs smoothly. This role is ideal for a professional, organized, and customer-focused individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
Major Responsibilities:
- Maintain model homes, sales centers, and display presentations standards, including daily opening and closing procedures, ensuring models are tidy and clean before and at the end of each day.
- Welcome visitors and provide a professional first point of contact for prospective purchasers, homeowners, agents, and guests.
- Respond to customer inquiries by phone, email, and in person.
- Provide general information on Tamarack Homes communities, models, floorplans, pricing, incentives, deposits, available lots, and promotions.
- Schedule appointments and support customer follow-up activities with Sales Representative.
- Create, organize, and maintain purchaser files, sales documents, reports, and supporting records.
- Enter purchaser and prospect information into CRM and sales systems accurately.
- Support purchase agreement packages, deposits, co-broke forms, document execution, and file compliance requirements.
- Prepare Agreements of Purchase and Sale (APS) for Sales Agents as required.
- Maintain current sales materials, price sheets, displays, and Sales Centre presentation standards.
- Assist with closing-related customer touchpoints, sales reporting, traffic reports, and marketing materials as required.
- Check website and public-facing sales information regularly for accuracy and report updates as required.
- Perform other duties as requested by the Sales Representatives or Sales Management team.
Statement of Qualifications:
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- High school diploma required; post-secondary education in Business Administration, Sales, Real Estate or a related field is considered an asset.
- One to two years of administrative, customer service, sales, hospitality or new home building experience is considered an asset.
- Strong customer service, communication, organization, and time management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy sales environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Comfortable using CRM, sales tracking, document management, reporting systems, and Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Knowledge of the new home sales process, purchaser files, deposits, or real estate documentation is considered an asset.
- Bilingualism in French and English is considered an asset.
Physical/Sensory Effort/Work Environment:
- Work is performed in a Sales Centre and model home environment with regular interaction with customers, homeowners, agents and team members.
- Travel between Tamarack Homes communities across Ottawa may be required.
- Sitting, standing, walking, and computer work for extended periods may be required.
- Must be in good physical condition to perform various duties in and around all parts of the model homes
Salary Range
The salary range shown reflects expected total annual compensation, including base pay, bonuses, and commissions.
