The Boeing Defense Space, and Security (BDS), Space, Intelligence & Weapons Systems (SI&WS) has an exciting opportunity for an innovative, highly motivated, people focused, and growth motivated Manufacturing Engineer, Mid-Career or Senior Level to join our Experimental Systems Group (ESG).  ESG supports a variety of government customers spanning technology domains, and is a fast-paced, responsive development environment delivering new capabilities to customers rapidly and affordably. The ESG portfolio consists of a range of platforms and technologies including the X-37B , the world’s first fully autonomous reusable spaceplane, which recently launched on its 8th mission. This position is 100% onsite at Kennedy Space Center, Florida.

At Boeing, our Manufacturing Engineers are leaders in innovation, development, evaluation, and implementation of methods and systems in support of complex manufacturing processes.  In this position, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

Position Responsibilities:

- Develop, identify, and implement conceptual designs while maintaining the program architecture for build.
- Participate in Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to integrate technical solutions across multiple disciplines.
- Lead and implement manufacturing plans.
- Conduct producibility and variation analyses to ensure manufacturing process capability aligns with requirements.
- Analyze design/build concepts to evaluate producible design/build definitions.
- Develop and implement production and tooling methodologies.
- Assist in providing producibility information for project plans and document best practices.
- Resolve technical problems that significantly impact performance, cost, or schedule.
- Coordinate and implement new engineering principles, theories, advanced technologies, and concepts.
- Validate and ensure production readiness of solutions to complex problems.
- Implement lean principles and technologies
- Develops and maintains complex business system factory definition to be used for manufacturing planning.
- Partnering with other organizations in the evaluation and refinement of program goals, business objectives, decision support needs, and both the data and performance requirements to meet program/project level objectives.

This position will support 2nd shift. On the job training will be completed on 1st shift. 1st shift support may be required based on program requirements.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.

This worksite participates in Boeing’s 9/80 schedule rotation. 9/80 is a rotation in which employees can work 9 hour shifts, 8 days per pay period (bi-weekly) and receive every other Friday off.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.   An interim U.S. Top Secret Clearance/SCI Pre-Start and final U.S. Top Secret Clearance/SCI Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience

- An advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor)
- Level 3: Typically, 5 or more years' related work experience
- Experience defining, developing and implementing manufacturing build plans
- Ability to work 2nd Shift

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

- Active Top Secret Clearance
- Level 4: Typically, 9 or more years’ related work experience
- Experience with MESci, NX and Teamcenter or equivalent
- Experience creating Model Based Instruction (MBI)
- Experience completing producibility review

Level 3 Summary pay range: $ 103,700 – $ 140,300

Level 4 Summary pay range: $ 126,650 - $ 171,350
