Job Summary:

We are searching for a Project Engineer (Mechanical) to assist in the design and preparation of mechanical building systems drawings required for implementing conceptual design into contract documents.

In this role you will: you will have responsibility for assisting project teams with the design and construction support of mechanical systems for various building facilities including heating, ventilation, air conditioning, piping, plumbing, drainage, fire protection and other specialty systems. You will have responsibility for performing design calculations, selecting equipment, preparing mechanical drawings utilizing Revit, and designing layouts.

Skills/abilities:

- At least three (3) years' experience designing mechanical systems for commercial, institutional and/or industrial buildings.

- University or college degree in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Technology from accredited institution.

- Experience using AutoDesk Revit and/or AutoCAD preferred.

- Registered with provincial licensing bodies PEO and OACETT is preferred.

- Working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Outlook/Word/Excel/PowerPoint).

- Working knowledge of the provincial building code, ASHRAE, CSA and NFPA standards.

- Ability to work cohesively in a team-based environment.

- Ability to handle multiple concurrent projects, focused project schedules, and meet timelines.

- Valid Ontario Driver's Licence and access to a vehicle.

Location : Ottawa, Ontario, Canada – In-office position.

Travel : 10 – 15% travel expected.
