As a Business Operations Associate in the Commercial Bank team, you are responsible for monitoring adherence to all applicable banking regulations. You will monitor the Commercial Banks Fair Lending activities, provide oversight on all applicable banking regulations, and partner with the business to identify and implement best practices for optimal risk mitigation.
Job responsibilities
- Review the accuracy of Commercial Bank’s HMDA weekly, monthly, and yearly LAR reporting
- Engage with control colleagues across Commercial Bank to receive and review necessary information and data to support the annual Fair Lending Risk Assessment
- Partner with other CB Control Managers to effectively document and walk through the control processes that will go through annual testing.
- Define and document control processes across all the areas the team supports .
- Provide thought leadership in delivering recommendations for the enhancement of the Commercial Bank Fair Lending Program.
- Identify possible control gaps and risks within the areas we support and determine viable solutions to mitigate those gaps and risks.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Seasoned professional, usually demonstrated by 5+ years of work experience and solid exposure to operations, controls, audit, quality assurance, and/or compliance
- Collaborative team player with a demonstrated work ethic, consistently exhibiting high professionalism in behavior and performance
- Highly organized professional able to balance multiple business needs and deliver against key objectives
- Experienced in developing business processes while identifying potential risks and control gaps
- Well-rounded professional with strong interpersonal, data analytics, organizational, problem-solving, and project management skills
