Pharmacy Technician The Pharmacy Technician supports the efficient operation of the pharmacy by providing exceptional customer service and assisting with prescription fulfillment under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Responsibilities include preparing prescriptions for dispensing processing medication orders managing inventory maintaining patient and prescription records supporting claims resolution and ensuring compliance with all federal state and company requirements. The Pharmacy Technician works closely with pharmacists providers patients and clinic staff to support safe accurate and timely medication dispensing while maintaining a high standard of customer service and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities - Provide exceptional customer service to patients members providers and clinic staff. - Assist with prescription preparation and fulfillment under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. - Receive process package and prepare prescription orders for dispensing. - Enter and maintain accurate patient prescription and inventory information in pharmacy systems. - Order receive stock and properly store medications and pharmacy supplies. - Process wholesaler medication orders and maintain inventory records. - Monitor inventory levels and assist with medication and supply replenishment. - Support medication dispensing activities including unit-dose injectable IV and related pharmacy products as permitted by state law. - Verify member and patient information and assist with claims processing and rejected claim resolution. - Prepare scan and maintain pharmacy documentation and records. - Maintain proper storage conditions including refrigeration and handling of medications and supplies. - Assist with pharmacy equipment monitoring and routine maintenance activities. - Support compliance with all state federal and company policies procedures and regulatory requirements. - Perform medication and supply deliveries as needed. - Complete administrative and clerical duties that support pharmacy operations. - Perform other duties as assigned. The pharmacy is open 8am-7pm M-S. We are looking for someone that will have a flexible schedule as the shifts vary from week to week. This will include working several Saturdays in a row. The candidate will also need to be able to stand for the 8 hours shift Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Las Vegas, NV.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $21.50/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
