Tax Accountant II, Fiduciary Tax Data Analyst, Private Bank -

This position is responsible for supporting Fiduciary Tax Services through data analysis, tax operations, and technology-enabled solutions that support the accurate and timely preparation and filing of fiduciary income tax returns.  Key responsibilities include analyzing and validating large volumes of tax data, executing bulk tax payment and filing processes, maintaining tax-related databases and reporting tools, and leveraging artificial intelligence, automation, and other technology solutions to improve operational efficiency, accuracy, and controls.

The role requires a strong focus on data integrity, quality assurance, timely execution, risk management, and adherence to applicable bank policies and federal and state fiduciary tax requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

- Supports Fiduciary Tax Accountants through the analysis, validation, reconciliation, and maintenance of tax-related data used in fiduciary income tax preparation and reporting.
- Executes and monitors high-volume tax operational processes, including tax payments, electronic filings, extensions, and other tax compliance activities.
- Utilizes Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel, AI-enabled tools, automation solutions, and other technology platforms to analyze, update, reconcile, and manage large volumes of tax data.
- Performs data validation and quality-control reviews to identify discrepancies, reporting exceptions, processing issues, and potential operational risks, escalating matters as appropriate.
- Develops, maintains, and enhances reports, database queries, reconciliations, and analytical tools used to support tax compliance, workload management, quality assurance, and operational decision-making.
- Identifies opportunities to streamline processes, strengthen controls, reduce manual activity, and improve accuracy through process enhancements and technology-enabled solutions.
- Partners with tax associates, Fiduciary Tax Accountants, operations teams, and technology partners to support process improvement, automation, testing, and implementation efforts.
- Maintains accurate records and documentation in accordance with established policies, procedures, control requirements, and record-retention standards.
- Supports the timely and accurate execution of fiduciary tax processes while adhering to bank standards, client service expectations, and applicable federal and state tax requirements.
- Assists with issue research, root-cause analysis, remediation, and implementation of appropriate process or control enhancements.

Qualifications:

The qualified candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Business, or a related discipline, along with 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in tax operations, accounting operations, data analytics, financial services, or a related field.

Experience working with large data sets, relational databases, reporting and analytical tools, process automation, or tax-related systems is preferred. Familiarity with fiduciary income taxation, tax compliance operations, or financial-services control environments is beneficial.

Pay and benefits information

Pay range

$75,900.00 - $102,600.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.

Discretionary incentive eligible

This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan. Employees are eligible for an annual discretionary award based on their overall individual performance results and behaviors, the performance and contributions of their line of business and/or group; and the overall success of the Company.
