Long Description
The F-35 manufacturing planning team is looking for an experienced manufacturing engineer to join our team at the historic Air Force Plant #4 in Fort Worth, Texas. The planning team translates engineering, quality, and manufacturing requirements into work instructions and a bill of materials, providing production with the data they need to build aircraft correctly and on schedule. As the crossroads of the F-35 program, planning will give you the opportunity to learn and interact with every part of the production process, while helping us build the world’s most advanced combat aircraft!
What you will be doing
As a senior manufacturing engineer with F-35 planning, you will:
* Work closely with design, manufacturing engineering, resource planning, and production groups to coordinate planning activities across all F-35 build areas and sites.
* Work with minimal supervision to resolve planning-related issues and answer technical questions for planners in a fast-paced production environment.
* Apply root cause analysis and process improvement techniques to respond to internal and external planning corrective action requests.
* Build and maintain secondary software systems and data analysis tools to ensure accuracy of the bill of materials and work instructions.
* Assist planning teams with the implementation of new manufacturing software systems.
* Ability to obtain and maintain a US government security clearance (secret).
THIS IS AN ON-SITE POSITION FOR 2ND SHIFT.

Basic Qualifications
* 2yrs or more experience working in a manufacturing environment.
* Basic understanding of resource planning and technical writing.
* Basic understanding of SQL and relational databases.
Desired Skills
* Skilled at interpreting and acting on engineering and process requirements.
* Experience with root cause analysis and corrective action.
* Experience with process design, documentation, and improvement.
* Willingness to learn new programming languages and software (proficiency in one or more programming languages is preferred).
* Familiarity with F-35 program processes, requirements, and software.
* Aerospace or defense industry experience.
* Bachelor’s degree or higher in mechanical, aerospace, industrial, or manufacturing engineering or equivalent experience in a related field.
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $85300.00 - $158300.00

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
