Job Title: Benefits & Leave Administrator Job Description
The Benefits & Leave Administrator is responsible for administering and supporting the organizations employee benefits and leave of absence programs. This role serves as the subject matter expert for benefits administration, Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) accommodations, workers compensation coordination, and applicable federal and state leave laws. The position ensures full compliance with regulatory requirements while providing exceptional customer service and guidance to employees, managers, and leadership.
Responsibilities
- Administer and manage all employee leave programs, including FMLA, ADA accommodations, short-term disability, long-term disability, military leave, personal leave, and statemandated leave programs.
- Review leave requests and determine eligibility in accordance with federal, state, and company policies.
- Coordinate the interactive process for ADA accommodation requests and maintain all required documentation.
- Track leave utilization and maintain accurate and uptodate leave records.
- Communicate leave rights, responsibilities, and returntowork requirements clearly to employees and managers.
- Coordinate returntowork processes, including fitnessforduty certifications and implementation of reasonable accommodations.
- Administer companysponsored employee benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, retirement plans, and voluntary benefits.
- Coordinate annual open enrollment activities and support employee benefit communications.
- Process benefit enrollments, changes, terminations, and beneficiary updates in a timely and accurate manner.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee benefit inquiries, providing guidance and resolving issues.
- Partner with insurance carriers, brokers, and vendors to ensure accurate and compliant administration of benefit plans.
- Conduct regular benefit audits and maintain accurate employee benefit records.
- Reconcile benefit invoices and ensure accurate payroll deductions related to benefit plans.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state leave and benefits laws and internal policies.
- Provide clear, professional communication and guidance to employees, managers, and leadership on benefits and leave matters.
Essential Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in benefits administration, leave management, or human resources.
- Demonstrated experience administering FMLA, ADA accommodations, and employee benefit programs.
- Strong understanding of federal and state leave and benefits laws.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA).
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
- Comprehensive knowledge of COBRA requirements.
- Comprehensive knowledge of HIPAA regulations.
- Comprehensive knowledge of ERISA.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Affordable Care Act (ACA).
- Knowledge of state leave laws and regulations.
- Experience managing the ADA interactive process and implementing reasonable accommodations.
- Strong organizational and problemsolving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to handle highly confidential information with discretion.
- Proficiency with HRIS, payroll, and benefits administration systems.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Ability to build effective working relationships with employees, managers, and external vendors.
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in recordkeeping and documentation.
- Customerservice mindset with a focus on supporting employees and leadership.
- Interest in ongoing professional development in benefits and leave administration.
Work Environment
This position is fully onsite, working Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The environment emphasizes a culture of safety and respect, with support for employees to thrive professionally through meaningful career opportunities and competitive benefits. The role involves regular use of HRIS, payroll, and benefits administration systems, as well as Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, and Outlook.

This is a Contract position based out of Collierville, TN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.84 - $33.65/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job
classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be
