As an Export Control & Customs Management Specialist (m/f/d), you play a pivotal role in ensuring the legally compliant handling of international goods and business processes. You guarantee adherence to export control, customs, and foreign trade regulations within the organization.

In this role you will:

Main responsibility of the Specialist in Export Control and Customs Management are the following :

- Classification of materials and screening against dual-use, embargo, and sanctions lists
- Conducting export control screenings for customers, products, and business partners
- Address and sanctions list screening using the AEB compliance system
- Review and approval of quotations, orders, and shipments for compliance with export control and foreign trade regulations
- Blocking of critical transactions in the event of compliance violations
- Compiling and maintaining origin and preference data for the issuance of proofs of preferential origin
- Review and management of supplier declarations
- Preparation and submission of Intrastat/Destatis declarations for imports and exports
- Settlement of inward processing transactions
- Support and coordination during monitoring activities and audits by main customs offices
- Maintenance and management of customs authorizations and permits, specifically: Authorized Exporter, Inward Processing, AEO-F (Authorized Economic Operator), and temporary storage facilities
- Application for export licenses from the Federal Office for Economic Affairs and Export Control (BAFA)
- Preparation and facilitation of cross-site specialist meetings involving logistics, purchasing, sales, relevant departments at German plants, and headquarters
- Advising internal departments on export control and customs matters
- Participation in process improvements and compliance projects

You are the right fit if you have/are:

- Completed vocational training in a commercial, business, or logistics field, or a university degree in foreign trade, business law, business administration, logistics, or a related discipline
- Several years of professional experience in export control, foreign trade, or customs; additional qualification as a Customs or Foreign Trade Officer is desirable
- Solid knowledge of foreign trade law (AWG/AWV), the EU Dual-Use Regulation, customs law (Union Customs Code/UCC), preferential trade agreements and rules of origin, as well as embargo and sanctions regulations
- Experience with BAFA licensing procedures and areas such as AEO status, inward processing, and Authorized Exporter status is desirable
- Proficiency in using ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and compliance software (e.g., AEB)
- Fluent German and good written and spoken English skills
- Strong interest in legal and regulatory requirements, combined with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to reliably interpret complex regulations and implement them in practice
- Confident demeanor when dealing with authorities and auditors

Als Spezialist für Exportkontrolle und Zollmanagement (m/w/d) spielen Sie eine Schlüsselrolle bei der Sicherstellung einer rechtskonformen Abwicklung internationaler Waren- und Geschäftsprozesse. Sie gewährleisten die Einhaltung von Exportkontroll-, Zoll- und Außenwirtschaftsvorschriften innerhalb des Unternehmens.

Die Hauptaufgaben in dieser Funktion umfassen:

- Klassifizierung von Gütern und Abgleich mit Dual-Use-, Embargo- und Sanktionslisten
- Durchführung von Exportkontrollprüfungen für Kunden, Produkte und Geschäftspartner
- Adress- und Sanktionslistenprüfung mittels des AEB-Compliance-Systems
- Prüfung und Freigabe von Angeboten, Aufträgen und Lieferungen hinsichtlich der Einhaltung von Exportkontroll- und Außenwirtschaftsvorschriften
- Sperrung kritischer Transaktionen bei Compliance-Verstößen
- Ermittlung und Pflege von Ursprungs- und Präferenzdaten zur Ausstellung von Präferenznachweisen
- Prüfung und Verwaltung von Lieferantenerklärungen
- Erstellung und Übermittlung von Intrastat-/Destatis-Meldungen für Importe und Exporte
- Abwicklung von Verfahren der aktiven Veredelung
- Unterstützung und Koordination bei Überprüfungen und Audits durch Hauptzollämter
- Pflege und Verwaltung von zollrechtlichen Bewilligungen, insbesondere: Zugelassener Ausführer, aktive Veredelung, AEO-F (Zugelassener Wirtschaftsbeteiligter) und Verwahrungslager
- Beantragung von Ausfuhrgenehmigungen beim Bundesamt für Wirtschaft und Ausfuhrkontrolle (BAFA)
- Vorbereitung und Durchführung standortübergreifender Fachbesprechungen unter Einbeziehung von Logistik, Einkauf, Vertrieb, relevanten Fachabteilungen der deutschen Werke sowie der Zentrale
- Beratung interner Fachbereiche in Fragen der Exportkontrolle und des Zollrechts
- Mitwirkung an Prozessoptimierungen und Compliance-Projekten

Sie sind der richtige Kandidat, wenn Sie folgende Voraussetzungen erfüllen:

- Abgeschlossene kaufmännische, betriebswirtschaftliche oder logistische Ausbildung, alternativ Studium im Bereich Außenwirtschaft, Wirtschaftsrecht, Betriebswirtschaft, Logistik oder vergleichbarer Fachrichtung
- Mehrjährige Berufserfahrung im Bereich Exportkontrolle, Außenwirtschaft oder Zollwesen. Weiterbildung zum Zoll- oder Außenwirtschaftsbeauftragten ist wünschenswert
- Gute Kenntnisse im Außenwirtschaftsrecht (AWG/AWV), EU-Dual-Use-Verordnung, Zollrecht (UZK), Präferenzrecht und Ursprungsmanagement sowie Embargo- und Sanktionsvorschriften
- Erfahrung im Umgang mit BAFA-Genehmigungsverfahren sowie im Bereich AEO, aktive Veredelung und Ermächtigter Ausführer wünschenswert
- Sicherer Umgang mit ERP-Systemen (z. B. SAP) und Compliance-Software (z. B. AEB)
- fließende Deutsch- und gute Englischkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift
- Hohe Affinität für rechtliche und regulatorische Anforderungen sowie ausgeprägte Analyse- und Problemlösungskompetenz
- Fähigkeit, komplexe Vorschriften sicher zu interpretieren und praktisch umzusetzen
- Sicheres Auftreten gegenüber Behörden und Auditoren
