## Job Summary



To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Product Engineer located in Guadalajara, South Campus .

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Product Engineer role will be responsible for receiving, evaluating, cleaning, and customizing all technical information / documentation from the customer related to their product, derived from a New Product Introduction (NPI) or a design change to establish all necessary processes to manufacture it by maintaining its design and performance integrit

What a typical day looks like:

- Handle product transfer and new product set up.
- Support production by assessing product engineering issues of diverse scope that arise on production line.
- Suggest improvements to process to obtain improved quality and production yield.
- Solve product related problems and perform failure evaluation related to product issues.
- Interact with customer and various departments on product related issues
- Work with design team to resolve design related issues.
- Suggest modification to work instructions, material, or product changes to ensure excellent quality of products.
- Customer´s Bill of Material (BOM) evaluation and structure definition for production
- Functional Product Documentation review
- Safety Requirements and regulations compliance identification
- Engineering Drawings Interpretation of parts and assemblies.
- Request customer for drawing corrections, additions, clarification, measurements methods
- Manage Engineering Changes Implementation
- Conduct Design for Manufacturing (DFM), tolerance evaluation, Design of Experiment (DOE), form-fit-function to define failure root/cause evaluation and reporting to customer
- Provide support to supply chain to integrate parts derived from the vertical integration or localization effort
- Provide product training to the manufacturing/process engineers for better understanding of the product.
- Request, handle and administrate golden samples, engineering samples of final product and/or piece parts
- Establish, operate, and maintain a standard method for technical information interchange with the customer to control and preserve information of NPI transferred projects
- Inspection of customer product parts and assemblies through model files using Computer-aided Design (CAD) system
- Evaluate and identify course of action of Product Change Notification (PCN) and Manufacturing Change Order (MCO)
- Ability to take additional responsibilities of the Manufacturing Engineer depending on the size and complexity of the customer product

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

- Lead NPI activities for new product launches within PCBA manufacturing environments.
- Manage BOMs, engineering changes, and PCNs through Agile PLM and MRP systems.
- Ensure compliance with automotive customer requirements and IATF 16949 standards.
- Review product designs using CAD viewers and provide DFM, DFA, and DFT feedback.
- Drive root cause investigations using 8D, 5 Whys, and other structured problem-solving methodologies.
- Support APQP and PPAP activities to ensure successful product qualification and launch.
- Maintain product traceability and configuration control throughout the manufacturing process.

Must Have

- Associate degree in a related field, military technical training, or equivalent education and training.
- Fluent English.
- PCBA manufacturing experience.
- BOM (Bill of Materials) Management.
- PCN (Product Change Notification) Management.
- Product traceability knowledge.
- Understanding of DFM, DFA, and DFT methodologies.
- Experience with Agile PLM.
- Working knowledge of MRP systems.
- Electronics manufacturing knowledge.
- Automotive customer requirements knowledge.
- IATF 16949 knowledge and compliance.
- Experience using CAD review tools and viewers.
- Strong problem-solving skills utilizing Root Cause Analysis, 8D, and 5 Why methodologies.
- NPI (New Product Introduction) leadership experience.
- Knowledge of APQP and PPAP processes.
