Job Summary:
The Associate Quality Technician is an entry-level team member responsible for performing basic inspections and tests to ensure products meet quality standards. This role works under close supervision, following standard operating procedures and using basic measurement tools to verify product conformance. This is a foundational role focused on learning the fundamentals of quality control.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performs routine visual and dimensional inspections on incoming materials, in-process parts, or finished goods using basic measurement tools like calipers and micrometers.
- Follows detailed work instructions to conduct simple go/no-go tests.
- Accurately records inspection and test results in quality documentation or systems.
- Identifies and segregates non-conforming material according to established procedures.
Qualifications:
- Typically requires a High School diploma or equivalent. Entry-level position with on-the-job training provided.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Basic computer skills for data entry.
