About the Role
Reporting to the Director Support Services, the Support Services Manager will lead the Support Services program at the newly opened Pakenham Community Hospital, along with the Support Services teams at Pakenham Health Hub, Cranbourne Community Hospital and Cranbourne Integrated Care Centre.
You’ll provide strategic and operational leadership across food services, environmental services, linen, patient and support services assistants, waste management, portering, pest control, washroom and vending services.
Leading a committed team, you’ll drive quality and safety, service excellence, risk and governance, financial performance, education and research. You’ll also lead operational planning, continuous improvement, efficiency and innovation aligned with Monash Health’s strategy.
This is an opportunity to shape the culture and future of Support Services at a brand-new community hospital, in Pakenham along with Pakenham Health Hub, Cranbourne Community Hospital and Cranbourne Integrated Care Centre.
About You
You’re an experienced leader who thrives in complex environments and is passionate about quality, safety, service excellence and people.
You’re confident leading diverse teams, building strong relationships and turning strategy into practical outcomes. A collaborative and values-driven leader, you’re motivated by developing people, improving services and driving positive change.
What You'll Bring
- Significant experience managing complex support services, preferably in healthcare or a similarly regulated environment.
- Demonstrated leadership across diverse teams and service areas.
- Strong knowledge of quality, safety, risk, governance and continuous improvement.
- Proven operational and financial management capability.
- Experience leading change, innovation and service improvement.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A commitment to education, research and leadership development.
- Relevant postgraduate qualifications in Business, Health Management or a related discipline are highly desirable.
- Membership of Hospitality in Healthcare, Institute of Hospital Engineers, Association of Hospital Supply Purchasing Officers or a similar organisation is desirable.
- A current Victorian driver’s licence, with flexibility to work across Monash Health sites.
