### Indirect Tax Manager, Australia and New Zealand (AU&NZ)
Job Purpose The Manager Indirect Tax AU&NZ will be responsible for transitioning the Indirect tax activities to the CCEP Integrated Shared Services (ISS) Center, and subsequently to ensure indirect tax compliance (including Goods and Services Tax (GST), Excise tax, etc. tax return preparation and lodgement), reporting, and support during tax audits for CCEP AU & NZ legal entities. The position also includes advisory matters and planning aspect to reduce costs associated with GST and other Indirect Taxes and identifying and executing opportunities for optimising the compliance/reporting.
Key Responsibilities (what you will do): Ensure timely and accurate indirect tax (including GST, Excise tax, other) compliance, filing, reporting and archiving for CCEP AU&NZ legal entities. Ensure timely and accurate preparation and lodgement of CCEP Holdings Australian Business Activity Statement (BAS) Ensure that CCEP policies are adhered to (e.g. reviews, approvals, etc.) Ensure indirect tax (GST, Excise tax, etc.) processes are fully documented for CCEP AU&NZ legal entities, updating for process changes as needed Ensure correct maintenance of tax data in SAP for CCEP AU&NZ legal entities Prepare and maintain guidance for other teams (e.g. Source-to-Pay, Customer-to-Cash, etc.) & provide training to these teams as needed Support with the timely resolution of external tax audits and investigations linked to indirect tax (GST, Excise, etc.) compliance and reporting for CCEP AU & NZ legal entities Support different internal departments across the organization (TAX team members, API Finance and other business teams (e.g. Supply chain (SC), Sales, etc.) for GST and Excise compliance related queries Support digitalisation efforts to automate and streamline indirect tax processes where possible Support with ad hoc projects as required from time to time.
Key Stakeholders Internal: BU and Group Tax, ISS teams, Procurement, BU Finance and SC teams, People&Culture External: Tax Authorities (supported by API BU Tax Lead), External Tax Advisors, External Auditors (EY) Experience required Expertise of Indirect tax (GST, Excise tax, etc.) principles, legislation, policies and processes. Minimum of 5 years’ experience with Indirect tax compliance, preferably in professional services or a multi-national organisation Ability and willingness to do a broad range of AU&NZ Indirect tax reporting, tax advice and process improvement and tax audit assistance. Detail-oriented, proactive, self-motivated individual who participates in projects, and possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience with SAP preferably and MS Office Languages & expert level Fluent in English (written and spoken) essential Education & Qualifications required University degree in Accounting, Tax, or Finance Professional accounting and/or tax qualification preferred
