The Opportunity

As the Strategic Account Lead – Oncology/Specialty Care , you will be responsible for achieving and advancing sales budgets, driving business growth and establishing Abbott's oncology presence within assigned territories and key accounts across Indonesia. This role combines scientific engagement with oncology healthcare professionals and strategic account management to secure product access, hospital listing, and formulary inclusion.

The incumbent will build strong partnerships with Hematologists-Oncologists, Medical Oncologists, and other relevant stakeholders while identifying opportunities to enhance patient access and accelerate adoption of Abbott's oncology portfolio.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with Hematologists-Oncologists, Medical Oncologists, Surgical Oncologist and other relevant healthcare professionals.
• Deliver high-quality product and disease-state discussions aligned with approved promotional materials and compliance standards.
• Identify customer needs, treatment trends, and market opportunities to support business growth.
• Execute territory plans and customer engagement strategies to achieve business objectives.
• Gather market intelligence and competitive insights to support commercial decision-making.
• Build & maintain a closer relationship with KOLs in Key Accounts to further develop business Abbott EPD Indonesia.
• Lead hospital listing, formulary inclusion, and access initiatives within strategic government and private healthcare institutions.
• Develop and implement account plans for priority oncology treatment centers and referral hospitals.
• Build strong relationships with hospital decision-makers, including pharmacy committees, procurement teams, hospital management, and other key stakeholders.
• Navigate hospital purchasing processes, tender mechanisms, and access pathways to optimize product availability.
• Identify and address access barriers that may impact patient treatment and product utilization.
• Support the development and expansion of Abbott's oncology business in Indonesia.
• Map key oncology referral networks and treatment centers to identify growth opportunities.
• Establish Abbott's reputation as a trusted partner within the oncology community.
• Generate actionable business insights and recommend strategies to expand market penetration and patient access.
• Collaborate effectively with Medical Affairs, Market Access, Marketing, Regulatory Affairs, Supply Chain, and other functions.
• Provide customer and market insights to support brand strategy and business planning.
• Ensure adherence to all company policies, industry regulations, and compliance requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in any field, preferably science related.
• Conceptual ability, negotiation, networking, interpersonal and management skills.
• Minimum 5 years of pharmaceutical industry experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in Oncology, Hematology, Specialty Care, Biologics, or other highly specialized therapeutic areas.
• Demonstrated experience engaging and influencing Hematologists-Oncologists and other oncology specialists.
• Proven experience in hospital listing, formulary inclusion, account management, and stakeholder engagement within healthcare institutions.
• Experience launching new products or expanding specialty-care businesses is highly preferred.
• Strong commercial mindset with a proven ability to identify, pursue, and convert business opportunities into sustainable growth.
• Highly self-driven and results-oriented, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability for business outcomes.
• Demonstrates a proactive "hunter" mentality, actively seeking new opportunities, building networks, and overcoming barriers to achieve objectives.
• Entrepreneurial thinkers capable of establishing and growing a business in a new therapeutic area with limited existing infrastructure.
• Strong resilience and persistence in navigating complex stakeholder environments and lengthy hospital access processes.
• Ability to influence and engage diverse stakeholders, including physicians, pharmacy committees, hospital management, procurement teams, and external partners.
• Excellent negotiation and strategic account management capabilities.
• Demonstrates urgency, execution excellence, and the ability to translate strategy into measurable results.
• Comfortable working independently while effectively leveraging cross-functional resources to achieve business goals.
• Strong customer focus with the ability to develop long-term partnerships based on trust and credibility.
