The YMCA of Greater Erie is looking to hire a part-time Program Coordinator for our youth, adult and family programs within our association. This position's responsibilities include overseeing a sports program offered in partnership with United Way.

PART-TIME WORK SCHEDULE
This typical schedule for this part-time position is 30-37 hours per week , days of the week can vary based on programming needs.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A PROGRAM COORDINATOR
- At least 18 years of age
- High School Diploma and/or Bachelor's Degree in physical education, recreation management or two years related experience.
- Certifications: First Aid, CPR, and AED (within 30 days of hire) and other related YMCA instructional areas (within first year)
- New Employee Orientation - YUSA, Mandated Reporter, and child abuse prevention training within 60 days of hire date
- Clearance - Act 33, Act 34, FBI
- Ability to maintain and demonstrate certification-level physical and mental readiness in accordance with YMCA Standards.
- Must have strong people skills and the ability to work well with members, staff, and volunteers in a friendly, courteous, cooperation and professional manner.
- Possess mature judgement and sound decision-making.
- Possesses organizational skills, prioritizing abilities, human relation skills, and must have good communication skills-verbal, written, and phone.
- Literate and proficient in PC, MS Office applications (Excel, Word,).
- Some travel is required

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A PROGRAM COORDINATOR
As a Program Coordinator at our Glenwood YMCA location, you are responsible for the youth, adult, and family program areas which includes organizing and scheduling program registration. You will deliver a variety of specific YMCA programs to the membership and community, ensuring a positive and enriching experience for all participants involved. You ensure that members and/or program participants connect with one another and connect with the YMCA. You are careful to act in a safe manner at all times.
You are friendly and patient as you lead new participants with motivation. With enthusiasm, you help deliver programs and services that meet community needs by following the directives of the Program Director. You are also conscientious about keeping records up to date and accurate and ensuring compliance with YMCA standards and government regulations.
