Position Purpose:
The Clinical Solutions & Protocol Advisor is responsible for ensuring audiological excellence, clinical consistency, and regulatory compliance across One Australia. This role provides expert guidance on clinical protocols, funding pathways, and regulatory requirements, ensuring that customer care is delivered in accordance with best-practice audiology standards and all applicable legislative and program obligations. Operating within Retail Excellence and working closely with Store Operations, Compliance, and Training teams, the role develops and maintains clinical protocols, supports business initiatives through clinical expertise, and acts as the primary subject matter expert for Hearing Services Program (HSP), Medicare, DVA, WorkCover, and other hearing healthcare funding pathways.
The role ensures that clinical processes, systems, training, and customer journeys are aligned to Amplifon's clinical philosophy, AmpliWay protocols, and industry best practice.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
Clinical Protocols, Governance & Funding Programs
- Develop, maintain and review clinical protocols, standards and governance frameworks across Amplifon, Amplifon Retail (Bay Audio) and Attune
- Ensure clinical practices align with AmpliWay methodology, evidence-based audiology, regulatory requirements and funding program obligations
- Act as the Subject Matter Expert for HSP, Medicare, DVA, ADF, WorkCover and other funding pathways, providing guidance on compliance and operational impacts
- Support compliance reviews and corrective action initiatives
Clinical Process & Operational Excellence
- Develop and maintain clinical operational procedures, policies, decision trees, forms and process guidance
- Review and improve clinical pathways and operational processes to support consistent and compliant service delivery
- Partner with Store Operations, Training and Compliance teams to embed clinical requirements into business processes
Clinical Capability & Business Support
- Provide clinical expertise to support training programs, accreditation pathways, learning materials and clinical capability initiatives
- Provide clinical input into new services, products, customer experience initiatives and business projects
- Assess impacts to customers, clinicians and operations, ensuring clinical requirements are appropriately considered
Clinical Systems & Digital Solutions
- Represent clinical requirements in system enhancements, digital initiatives and transformation projects
- Support optimisation of clinical systems (Symphony, NEXT, Waves, FOCUS etc) and workflows to improve compliance, efficiency and service delivery
- Participate in testing, validation and implementation activities as required
Stakeholder Engagement & Continuous Improvement
- Collaborate with Compliance, Store Operations, Training, IT, Marketing and other stakeholders to achieve organisational objectives
- Provide practical recommendations that balance clinical quality, compliance and operational efficiency
- Drive continuous improvement through analysis of audit outcomes, customer feedback, incidents and emerging industry best practices
Skills & Competencies:
Core Skills
- Advanced audiological knowledge and clinical expertise
- Strong understanding of hearing healthcare funding pathways
- Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills
- Ability to interpret legislation, program requirements and regulatory obligations
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making capability
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to translate complex clinical requirements into practical operational solutions
Clinical Expertise
Expert knowledge of:
- Medicare pathways
- DVA services
- WorkCover schemes
- Rehabilitation and hearing aid fitting protocols
- Clinical governance principles
- Deep understanding of AmpliWay and Amplifon's clinical methodology
- Strong knowledge of hearing aid technologies and audiological rehabilitation
Technical Skills
Essential
- Qualified Audiologist or Audiometrist eligible to practise in Australia
- Current professional accreditation maintained
- Minimum 5 years clinical hearing healthcare experience
- Demonstrated expertise in Hearing Services Program (HSP) requirements
- Experience working with Medicare, DVA and/or WorkCover funding models
- Experience developing or supporting clinical processes, policies, or governance frameworks
Desirable
- Experience in Clinical Governance or Compliance
- Experience supporting large multi-site healthcare or retail healthcare organisations
- Experience delivering training or clinical capability programs
- Experience supporting digital transformation or clinical systems implementation
- Postgraduate qualifications in Audiology, Healthcare Management, Education, or a related field
