Job Description

Kickstart your career with the AFR Ventures team at The Australian Financial Review , the driving force behind iconic events, prestigious lists, awards, and premium content solutions including the AFR Business Summit, Business Person of the Year, Women in Leadership, and various high-profile live events.

Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the Sales & Marketing Coordinator is a key growth driver responsible for generating leads and boosting ticket, list, and award engagement. Blending creative marketing campaigns with direct sales outreach, this dynamic role offers an ambitious professional the opportunity to shape high-profile corporate initiatives within Australia's premier media network.

Day to day you will:

- Drive lead generation and ticket sales for summits, awards, and lists via proactive outreach.
- Upsell individual event attendees into full table bookings through direct engagement.
- Identify, approach, and convert prospective corporate candidates to complete award entries.
- Collaborate closely with the sponsorship team to assist with client acquisition and benefits.
- Create, manage, and execute targeted email marketing campaigns to expand customer touchpoints.
- Track, analyse, and report on campaign performance to optimise future audience growth strategies.
- Support end-to-end client servicing, event registration tasks, and team administration.

What you'll bring:

- Prior experience in lead generation, sales outreach, or corporate marketing campaigns.
- High self-motivation and a proactive, goal-oriented approach to driving business growth.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with confidence engaging corporate stakeholders.
- Strong organisational capability to balance multiple projects and tight deadlines seamlessly.
- Analytical mindset with experience leveraging CRM systems and campaign data.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in marketing, business, communications, or equivalent practical experience.
- Genuine interest in the corporate landscape and national business trends.
