Description

Summary

This full-time position is part of GCB's Summer Internship Program, which is scheduled to run from Monday, May 17th through Friday, July 23rd , potentially extending through mid-August based on the decision of the hiring manager and department. Additionally, interns must participate in a Final Internship Presentation located in New Orleans on Thursday, July 22nd . Candidates must be available for the full duration of the program to ensure a consistent and meaningful learning experience.

The Trust & Wealth Management intern will participate in wealth management operations and various department initiatives. The intern is responsible for contributing to a variety of initiatives and projects while gaining robust knowledge on the subjects covered. Responsibilities are listed below.

Responsibilities

- Prepare weekly deliverables summarizing market developments and economic trends
- Research allowable fixed-income securities for the bank’s investment portfolio
- Support portfolio monitoring through data analysis
- Update Excel spreadsheets and reports as needed
- Complete a comprehensive research project on an assigned topic
- Interact with professionals both internally and externally
- Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

Required Skills/Experience/Education

- Minimum preferred cumulative GPA of 3.0.
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree.
- Business Majors preferred.
- Be a highly motivated self-starter who takes initiative.
- Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Possesses critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Essential Mental & Physical Requirements
- Ability to travel if required to perform the essential job functions.
- Ability to work under stress and meet deadlines.
- Ability to read and interpret a document if required to perform the essential job functions.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer may be required.

- Ability to lift/move/carry approximately 15 pounds if required to perform the essential job functions.
