We provide a platform for our people to do their best work and make an impact to the business, and we support our people’s career ambitions. We pledge to make Prudential a place where you can Connect, Grow, and Succeed.
Role Overview
We are looking for university undergraduates to join Prudential as AI Interns under the Institute of Banking and Finance (IBF) Young Talent Programme for AI in Finance (YTP-AIF). This is a broad programme-level opportunity covering a range of AI-related internships across the organisation. Specific responsibilities, projects and technical requirements will vary by placement and will be shared separately for each available role.
Interns may be matched to technical or business-focused AI opportunities where AI is a meaningful component of the work. Depending on the specific placement, this could include areas such as AI development and implementation, business application of AI, data and analytics, or responsible AI and governance.
What You Can Expect
Hands-on exposure to how AI is applied within a financial-services environment.
Opportunities to contribute to real business projects or AI-related initiatives, with the scope varying by individual placement.
Experience working with colleagues across business and/or technology teams.
Exposure to responsible AI, governance and risk considerations where relevant to the assigned role.
Structured learning and mentorship during the internship.
Opportunities to strengthen analytical, problem-solving, collaboration and communication skills.
General Requirements
Current university undergraduate who meets the applicable YTP-AIF programme eligibility requirements.
Interest in AI and its application within financial services.
Curiosity, willingness to learn and an interest in solving real-world business problems.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication and collaboration skills.
Relevant academic, technical or domain knowledge may be required depending on the specific internship; these requirements will be set out in the individual role description.
Your Internship Could Be the Start of Something More
We see internships as an important part of our long-term talent pipeline. Your experience at Prudential can also be an opportunity to discover the breadth of careers available across the organisation. As you approach graduation, you are welcome to apply for our ASPIRE Future Leaders Programme, our graduate programme offering cross-functional exposure, structured development and opportunities to build a broader career in financial services.
If your internship overlaps with Prudential’s Summer Innovation Project (SIP) period, you may also have the opportunity to take part in selected intern development or project experiences available at the time, subject to the programme format and business requirements. Details may vary from year to year.
